Well, that takes me back. I don’t remember when I first started watching OTW, but it was when you had the small mill out in the middle of the field. You had your farmer friend move logs for you with his tractor and you kept telling us you needed a “proper tractor.” Then you’d splash water on a piece of walnut and I would oooohhhh and ahhhhh, every time. I remember when you brought the drywall knife/sawdust scraper on board, too. I’ve seen almost every video you’ve done since then and really made a personal connection with you, even though we have never met. It’s good to see how you have prospered with your business and the channel, and I appreciate all your efforts. Art lifts people and successful art draws emotions from the viewer. Yours is successful art. Thank you, Nathan, and May God continue to bless you and your family.

Man o man is that sweet stuff. That 2017 peice was even better and for the life I can't understand why people would want the pith cut off. That adds so much beauty to the board. It needs to be shown in all its glory.

I like fiddling around on the farm and then get down to sawing some logs. Great edits and rarely see any second cameras in the shots, so you know Nathan is doing double time setting up all the angles for us. Love seeing all the equipment in use! Also the satisfaction on your face in those early shots from 2017. Priceless, man.

I've made pieces of furniture from red and white oaks, maple, walnut, and cherry. By far my favorite is cherry. The luster that oils and wax give cherry boards is far superior to anything achieved with the other woods. The boards sawn in this video will make some woodworker very pleased with his or hers end product.

Say there friend , I heard you mention on a recent video that you had some skin cancers removed from your face. here's a tip for you. In the morning before you go outside. Put some Virgin Cocoanut oil on your face and neck.. leave it there for a short while. then blot it off . When you finish for the day before or after. ( i did it before my shower ) Do the oil again . leave it there for a while ,then blot it off or take your shower . I learned this over here in the Philippines .And it does help avoid peeling if you burn and also helps repair your skin. I got into using it. As I was surfing for 5,6 0r more hours in a day. And would get sun burn . Also drinking a teaspoon of the oil a day is also good for you . good luck. And I do enjoy your videos !

Have you thought about adding a vacuum system to your mill? I would think a good grizzly single stage motor would work good to connect to mill and pipe it out the side. Then all you need is your loader to scoop and get rid of saw dust.

Your saw-milling has sure come a long way in 5 years but thankfully the trees still produce wood just as beautiful now as then! I learn something new from each of your videos, keeps it interesting. The sawmills around me cut mostly poplar, oak and maybe some cedar. I doubt there’s even one cherry or cedar left around here with the diameters you see. Makes me wonder if yours is old growth trees? Even though there’s a lot of wooded areas here (east coast), they are definitely not old growth!
