Epic Cliff Face carved from XPS foam with Chaos Crafting

Part one of at least two videos. Building and carving a 16 inch high cliff face for table top game play. This project uses XPS foam, a Proxxon hotwire cutter and a generic handheld hot wire foam cutter. This is a massive terrain element that can be used for both D&D and tabletop wargaming.

Awesome idea... I cleaned up my woodshop shop vac and I have moved it into my hobby space. This should cut down on the pesky pink flakes.

I have wanted to start doing rocks out of foam for a while, but for some reason I can never get them looking right... so I have gotten scared to even do them... I build dioramas for photo shoots with my HO locomotives. All I want is to make foam look like rocks.

I see two ways to accomplish this. one: master carving foam to look like rocks, takes time and practice. or two: Woodland Scenics sells a rock mold that lets you cast realistic looking rocks from plaster that you can glue to a foam backdrop. (woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/item/C1231)
