Hello everyone! This video is from March. I’ve since greatly reduced my detangling time and improved my scalp health. I will hopefully post updates soon. Thanks for watching!

I use the ordinary’s glycolic acid on my itchy scalp the day before styling and after styling, no more itching and my hair smells nice till my next weekly reset. As my hair gets longer, about once or twice per month i set my hair in 2 plaits or braids, or a large flat twist for the week. Sometimes you need s break from wash n gos.

I’m with you on the no hard application, it’s why i stopped using ufd. Ain’t nobody got time for tangles. I do a slippery leave in then a ‘curl stimulator’ (i love pre poo detanglers for this step, or gels like kinky curly or that one from asiam.), then something to hold the curls in place. For shine and end maintenance, a light oil. If the first three of these steps work well together and have good slip your wash n go will be a low manipulation style , you should glide through your hair. Looks and feels good throughout the week.

Great video! I wanted to share a tip that’s worked for me when it comes to tangling/detangling. Before I even put a tool to my head, I release the tangles with my hands under the water in sections. For example, if I my hair is in for sections, I will take one section under the water and use the water to help release any tangles I feel going strand by strand. I do this during my shampoo step. Basically, you trying to get your hair to go in one direction instead of being scrunched up on your scalp. Every time I rinse out my shampoo, I use the water to help stretch the hair and release the tangles. By the time I get to the conditioning step, my hair is no longer tangled, and the detangling tool is just used to remove any shed hair I missed. I wash my hair in two sections, and detangle (with a brush) in 4-6 and clip away any sections I’m not working. I prefer this method to twisting my hair. This has cut down detangling tremendously. Hope this helps!

Fo, your hair is just so beautiful, is that the salon result? Gosh they know what they are doing, wish we had such professionals here in the UK!! You have inspired me to try again! I took out the braids and never again, I want to just be natural forever! No more hiding my hair! Will check the enbbnatural out! Xx

Awww you’re too kind! I get curly cuts here in the states but if you find a stylist there that gives a good trim and doesn’t botch your shape badly you should be fine. No need to search for a curl artist if it will cause extra strain. In terms of the styling and hair maintenance I do that at home. You can try out online education from curl artist such as the Hydra Bar salon or Carmen Veal Conway’s Brown Skin Women to learn hair care basics and how to master your wash n go styling. ❤️

@@FoAdunni there is also Rootist and Canviiy that are scalp focused brands. This made me think of what I had to do to get my scalp back on track and treatment serum like Pattern's or Fable &Mane worked great but it was adding treatment mask that contain clays (bentonite, Kalin, Rhassoul) is what really made the difference. Good luck, hope your find relief 😊
