I'm going off on a tangent. But when you mentioned the fella in the antique store singing 'Creep' it reminded me of a cool moment that inspired me. Liverpool UK in the early nineties I was a young teen looking in a local four floor shopping arcade called Quiggins. It had handmade jewellery, old furniture, tattoo shop, vegan cafe, and allsorts of exciting magic to find. While I was walking past a little jewellery counter there was this fella in very tight ripped jeans, black leather straps on his wrists, covered in tattoos, long dark hair. He was sitting bent over a piece of silver using some pliers and he was nodding his head to a cd playing Alice in chains 'would?' And my teenage girl self knew he was the coolest person ever. I wanted to be that cool. Years later I worked at the Beatles Hard days night shop next door to The Cavern on Mathew street. I was deputy manager, standing at the jukebox in my purple doc martens, having just put on The white album. I was nodding along to Helter-skelter and sorting Beatles cds. This group of American teenagers came in, looked around and then approached me and told me I had the coolest job in the world and they wished they worked there too. And I immediately thought back to the Alice in chains man and I thought 'yes....for two minutes ive become as cool as that man' 😂 Just to add a bit of Barb. My favourite modern Barbie at the moment is the Barbie signature looks tall Blonde in her white mod dress. She's so cool and she looks like a rock chick from the 1960s, like Marianne Faithfull or Patti Boyd. I've just managed to acquire the Bratz egg chair from a lovely ebay seller who offered a bargain price. So my Marianne Faithfull Barbie is now sitting in that chair looking all kinds of 60s cool 😁

lol love that story! I think I actually went to that shop around 15 years ago. Definitely a cool gig! And that looks doll is the one with the bell sleeves and shoulder cutouts, right? So cute!❤️❤️

I totally understand you. When you have a Barbie in your hands that you've been looking for for a while, there's always that fear of spending too much money. What a great Facebook find! You have a lot of work cataloging clothes, I honestly have a lot of fun with it! I loved the video ❤

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! I actually do find it relaxing to wash Barbie clothes and clean up dolls and fix them up. And yeah, sometimes I’ll want a doll or outfit and then once I have it in my hands at a doll show or something, I’m suddenly less interested and bothered by the cost. lol ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Watching your video I remembered when years ago I accidentally found a display of Barbie collectors in a tobacco shop in Naples and bought the Benefit Ball 💖 They also had the Jeweled Splendor but then I never had a chance to go back to that tobacco shop. And I’d love to stroll through one of Sherry’s doll shows but don’t live within a convenient distance so really appreciate doing that vicariously with you. I really enjoy your collecting style perspective and your soothing commentary. It’s also good to see someone who creates look books of doll clothes. That’s a great lot of dolls you got. I did notice that your Golden Dream is wearing Loving You’s dress ,and Loving You is wearing the Golden Dream outfit. Just letting you know, but you probably already do 😊. There aren’t any doll shows where I live ,but I go into some antique stores. Their prices usually seem on the high side. Aw thank you! My floating gardens has a tear in the cape I can’t fix so I don’t display it. I would’ve bought both of those but the prices were absolutely INSANE. Some of the fits in that section were marked at over 3 grand. I love Barbie, but come on. lol❤️❤️

I went to Sherris doll show on Sunday. Only spent $28 all 2000s dolls. I even tried out a new doll kine Project MC2 dolls. For $2 each, why not they are complete and have nice faces.
