I have collected ironstone for decades. Nice finds. I use them - especially the tureens. If they have crazing don’t use them with liquids! Use for display only.

I have a chamber pot and I use it on my huge bathtub with pretty wash clothes and wooden vintage bath brushes… very cute

That was an absolutely spectacular haul. If you ever decide to keep the chamber pot. My friend uses a chamber pot next to her toilet to keep one or two extra rolls of toilet paper in it. It looks so cute.

I have heard that you can identify ironstone by the weight of a piece. Ironstone will be heavy.

A quilt haul would be great! Love that idea. I enjoyed this iron stone video. Loved the blue and white cows. Not a huge fan of iron stone but I love the heavy duty mixing bowls, which am on the hunt for. thanks for sharing!

Great Score Jen! I love all the Ironstone. It is really hard to find where I live. I do find some occasionally. I am interested in the platter, can you tell me how much you want for it and I’ll take care of shipping.
@Jenshouseof68 күн бұрын
Hi, Ava! Thank you so much for watching & for your interest. At this time, I do not ship breakable items. The last 2 items I shipped arrived broken. Then I'm out the cost & trouble of shipping the items, not to mention the beautiful pieces are wasted! 😭💔 One day, I hope to be able to ship, but this is just not the right season in life for that. I appreciate your understanding! Blessings to you & yours, Jen :)🤍

Hello my sweet friend! I was typing in that the cows were Delft when you saw it on that one piece😄 And you said it correctly! The Federalist ironstone was sold at Sears during the 60's & 70's..i know that much about those pieces. The 2 coffee cups look like 'sponge ware.' Love the hobnail milk glass bud vase! I have quite few pics of milk glass & most of it is hobnail. I'd love to find one of the rolling pins thats all one piece!! We're getting ready to move into the house the Lord has blessed us with & Don't Have Much counter space. I'd love to find A piece i can hang on the wall & lay the rolling pins across it. Not sure what's its called, almost looks like a plate rack but its wider hooks that the handles lay in. Love the kettle!! Mine is smaller with the blue & white ceramic handle & i want one like this with the wood handle. I'd love to collect several kettles, old coffee grinders & some old tins and decorate the to if my kitchen cabinets! You could Price everything individually & if they want to buy multiple pieces cut a deal.. for instance if pieces are $5 and someone wants 10 pieces cut them to $40, which would be $4 a piece... strictly just an example!!😊 You could also make a sign one piece one price, they more you buy the cheaper the price! Or buy 5 pieces get the sixth one free. Just several ways you can to do it & still make a profit for yourself. The random plate with the god lacy detail around the edges & the pink rose in the middle.. my mama had some with the gold lacy detail & a Victorian picture in the center, the saucers were solid white in the center & the cups had the picture like the plates. The buckets.. the first one is China, the second one is a crock. Loll😂 ..a bedpan you actually use in the bed, that's a "chamber pot" which means it was kept the the 'chamber or bedroom' for use mostly during the night hours when people had outhouses or no inside toilets. My old granny still had an outhouse & used a chamber pot at night, when it was raining or super cold. Here was the white enamel with the red ring around the top & the handle of the lid was red. I rest want one so bad like my old granny had! The old Philips cobalt blue bottle that held 'milk of magnesia', is a laxative! My grandma made us take it every time we got sick or had a cold as kids🤢 Back then the bottle was glass, of course now its plastic. The pot you're keeping was A coffee/tea pot most likely. Tepco brand is mostly restaurant ware dishes, so that large pitcher was probably for coffee or water, I'm thinking water, in a nicer restaurant. The large bowl probably did have A pitcher at one point, used for hand & face washing!😊 The dome, called a cloche (the ch sounds like sh) lots of people including myself, will use them to sit over a little vignette just for decor! Wow Jen!😮 You really, truly got some amazing pieces & some super sweet deals! Ughh it really is a shame you live so stinking far!😭 I'd be shopping your booth twice or more every week! Enjoyed the video & hope i helped you out some too! Thanks for sharing! I pray you have a blessed week!🙏🏻😊

@Jenshouseof6 the chamber pots also make pretty planters, without a drainage hole, succulents do well or just faux greenery. You can use them for any type of decor, especially in the bathroom to hold things!

Crazing is not desirable!!!
@kathleenjohnson318611 күн бұрын
Some collectors only buy stained and crazed ironstone!
@harrietcarter330711 күн бұрын
@ - I heard that as well. Crazy. Must be because 19th Century Ironstone is difficult to find and collectors think crazing looks older. That is not true though. I was an antique dealer from 1996 through 2016 - I opened a booth with mostly ironstone. Now there are lots of new pieces in the market. Seller and buyer beware.
@kathleenjohnson318611 күн бұрын
@@harrietcarter3307 I have been buying and selling for 29 years. I learned a lot when I worked at an antique mall in the early 90s and one of the first things I learned was not to buy damaged items for resale. Fast forward to now, and people buy cracked and chipped stuff all of the time! I am amazed how much the industry has changed!
@Jenshouseof68 күн бұрын
Personally, I love all the crazing as I only use it for decor anyway. They say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." To each his own, I guess! 😊🫶🏼
