There are things that you just don't ask what is in it... Ikea Meatballs and frikadellen are two of those.. seriously tho every region has a different recipe for frikadell as well as different shapes I prefer the patties as they are a fantastic burger :-) and mayo on fries... that's how you can tell someone has spent time in Europe lol I even dip chick fil a cross-cuts in mayo....

so glad that I am belgian,my wife is from african descent but used to live in Paris,the XVI-ième,where her stepdad paid 10000 euro rent per month.....and now,she lives in west-flanders,in de westhoek,been married almost 20 years,and she adores my flemish cuisine,I try to buy the most of my foodstuff on local farms,slaughterhouse and for fish,the sea is only 40 kilometres away,so I almost buy fish straight from the boat.....there's on kinda freaky side to my story,in 1991,had a TBI,flatlined twice,but I recovered for 98%,I have even worked for 20 years,but now I have a frontal lobe syndrome that makes that I have no limits regarding food,drinks and sex....so it's not my fault,it's a medical condition....

Just come back from s weekend in Brussels and bruges lovely buildings they take fries very seriously thankfully not fried in horse fat anymore. Did you get to see manequin pis also if you ever get to manchester England try sams chop house and blak friars sunday lunch 😊

All good fries are twice fried. McD used beef tallow for years, why their fries WERE good. The Belgium gas station was cool, not as cool as Buc-ee;s. Ha, ha. That burger looked good, but I don't like too much sauce. Dav how can you get steak without garlic? Hello from a very cold Oregon.

I love that you pointed out the difference in American highways and European highways. But if I may defend our home a little. What we lack by having all the billboards and fast food signs, we make up for by still having wild spaces. Europe is allllll farmland. Belgian fries are literally just the old McDonald’s recipe (they no longer use beef fat, but used to) but their waffles are worth the trip.

We still have wild spaces though but you need to look for them and know where they are but when you’re there omg you’re in the middle of mountains and creeks just absolutely gorgeous, real gems to treasure.

That raw meat reminds me of when I was a kid. If we were eating beef for dinner my step dad would save me a little ball of raw beef with salt on it as a little treat before they cooked dinner. I loved it as a kid.. now I don't think I would eat it. but I definitely remember the taste. Also, what a beautiful area, man that puts our gas station food to shame. lol that steak looked amazing. great video

The Frikadel is NOT typical Belguim, it's from the Netherlands, created in the Netherlands. You guys crack me up, always try to claim Dutch things as if you guys invented it. Oh, and Nijmegen, isn't in Holland, it's in the Netherlands!!

The Curryworst aka Frikandel has gone trough different countries between Germany-Belgium and the Netherlands all these countries have made it their own in a slight way. Let me give you a history lesson . the currywurst came about by chance. It was 36-year-old Herta Heuwer from Königsberg, East Prussia, now Kaliningrad, who, on September 4, 1949, in her snack bar in post-war West Berlin, out of boredom, mixed some tomato puree with Worcestershire sauce and curry spices and poured it over a sausage cut into pieces. . So originally the Curryworst aka Frikandel is from Germany !!!! The people from the Netherlands call it Frikandel. And the people from Belgium call it Curryworst. And while I am at it here is you’re debate about Holland & The Netherlands. Holland was the name of the province that made the country famous throughout the world in the Golden Age (the seventeenth century). The province of Holland - especially Amsterdam - was then one of the most important trading centers in the world. The name of that important province has been transferred abroad to the joint Dutch provinces, to the whole of the Netherlands. The French, English, Germans and Americans, among others, have regularly continued to use Holland as a designation for the Netherlands. So pls zip it if you’re only here to start whining about things you don’t know and just want to blow up trying to make yourself interesting. Doe normaal en hang den eikel niet uit met uw wijsneus gedoe. Bedankt 👌🏻

Een gegrilde en in stukken gesneden braadworst met een laagje currypoeder en saus erover. (Dat is dan weer geen Frikandel) En over de Holland/Nederland kwestie. Je hebt het land Nederland en 12 provincies waaronder Noord en Zuid Holland. En ja de benaming Holland of een Hollander wordt vaak gebruikt maar is niet correct als je dat zegt over het land Nederland of over een persoon uit de andere 10 provincies.
