My wife and I stopped in and couldnt even get the help to acknowledge us let alone help us. Even though they walked right past us several times and made eye contact each time. There were several people in there but it wasnt packed. They could have at least said hi im sorry, ill be with you in a minute. Nothing, not even acknowlgment

We had the same problem when we tried to get service. Of course, manners is something else. Either you are born with them (thanks to mom and dad) or you are trained by management. Old fart Richard says, is going to stay open year round. Does he honestly think that the locals are going to pay his high prices. He may have to close this one down like he did the other one.

A buddy of mine went there during the rally was told 2 hrs for food and all they had on the menu was a burger, chicken fingers, and what looked liked frozen boxed pizza and were told if they didn’t like go somewhere else he also said Richard was an ass

I agree with you whole-heartily. Richard is an ass most of the time except when he is on camera. I will say this though in his behald (the sober half) he is transparentwhen he is buying and selling cars. Whereas old Dennis is so secretive. Me and my crew (21 of us0 have completely stop watch Dennis's videos. He is just too secretive. But thanks to Shawn, he keeps us updated on what Dennis pays and sells for.

Dallas Gas Monkey was Michelin star prices at bar food quality. I ate there a few years after it was opened and was SHOCKED at the prices. Food was sub par for the prices to say the least. He meeds to learn how to hire quality kitchen staff. As a retired chef, Dallas gas monkey was a joke!

But cooking so that everybody will like it *and* repeat that under time pressure and being constantly good is hard. I went there 8/2/24 at 1:30 PM it was packed but so was all the bars. Had no problem with staff or the service it was just good to get out of the heat for a few minutes. Burger was good for bar food 13$ is cheap in Sturgis. I'll be back!! Oh and Rick was there taking pictures with anyone that ask.

Paying 1 million dollars for a pizza place was strange. He has a partner that went in half with him, Mike, the bald creepy looking guy from Tennessee. Sturgis is dead for 51 weeks a year, only about 2500 people live there full time. The Bubba Gump Shrimp theme restaurants have been around for nearly 20 years. I doubt that it will last for over 2-3 years, the profit margins on restaurantsbis very low. Red Lobster and many other national chain restaurants are closing everyday. The past three generations just don't eat out as much as the previous generations.

I think independent food services ie vendors is a great idea. They’d lease a spot on your property, and all you do is serve alcohol, and pretzels. Keep it simple. Some Food Trucks have exceptional food. While the customer waits for food, they’ll order drinks and perhaps appetizers, quality quality affordable appetizers. Appetizers that are not in a can, or a bag. “Come on America” We can do better! We must do better. Richard Grow your food in greenhouses. Sell this to your vendors. Come on let’s get with it.

Restaurants founded by a chef are the best. Restaurants founded just to make money based off a theme, are almost guaranteed to fail. I worked for 7 different restaurants, the food is the staples. You can call the place "shit salad" and people will love it if the food is good. Gas Monkey built it just for a cash grab. Food comes from passion of a chef.
