What did you think of the FPV drone footage? Should we do this again at another course?
@Scott_Bishell4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, but you need a pro fpv pilot like mr steele, ummagawd, le drib, blastr, or nurk fpv. Look all these guys up on KZbin, your guy couldn't even do a steady orbit. The pilots mentioned above do this for a living. Love ya content guys, keep up the good work

We would say #3 had a lot of great views!

@@Scott_Bishell I promise you there were some steady orbits. We got you next time.

FPV Footage is nice!! More is always cool. I'd reelsteady the footage and for the next time: to get that one shot you sometimes need 1-2 hours of the same exact setup til you get it. The drone literally needs to be "glued" to the golfball because of its small size in order so see it fully. Also your GoPro footage seems like it was compressed down to 1080p? Always render it in 4k even if you're using 1080p footage: you absolutely need that high bitrate for fast FPV footage to look crisp. :)
@Sazuza24 жыл бұрын
very cool! next time give it a try with an orange ball

Ahoy. Awesome work. If anyone wants to work with any FPV pilots I'll gladly put you in touch with someone nearby you pretty much anywhere in the world. It's a small community. ✌️
@ants004 жыл бұрын
Oh wow Kabab him self lol. These guys were super awesome to work with! I really want to do this again after giving it a first go. A cloudy day, reelsteady, and brighter ball will drastically help.
@Kabab4 жыл бұрын
@@ants00 yeah I was expecting a yellow or those bright pink balls when I saw the title. Chasing a golfball has been a dream of mine since before I started. Couple other things I'd try. I'd give a race quad setup a go and would put a launch platform just behind and to the side of the golfer such that the moment the club strikes the ball you punch it. I think the quad can almost accelerate fast enough to keep up with the ball and if it can't, it'll surely catch up quickly. Then just follow the ball as closely as possible. All in all, I'd say you did as well as anyone could do in a half uncontrolled environment. Looked like you guys had to keep moving...

Grew up on Country Club of Fairfield riding my bike at 4am to get early in line so I could get a double in. (or sleeping outside the shack) Looping for Welch. the noise though...

I really think if y'all would try this again at either a night golf course or with lighted golf balls at night then being able to follow the ball would be a lot easier for the drone pilot. Definitely clip 1. I think if you guys do this again with him you should shoot to do it on a cloudier day. That bright sun washed out a lot of shots and made it hard to see the ball. A cloudy and darker day will make it easier to see the ball flying. Awesome video though!

I liked #2 because of the quality of the golf shot combined with the excellent drone camera work. Wondering (if you get a chance to try this again) if you could also have a fixed camera (maybe high-speed/slo-mo) behind the ball and then mix that in with the drone footage?

Why don't you try it on a 200yrd par 3 but go 100 yards looking back to the tee with zoom on then catch the ball and follow it to the green that way you might manage to catch full flight after all the ball is slowing down by that time ,fantastic concept though good luck
@drakebabcock59404 жыл бұрын
try a coloured ball next time, might be able to track it better
