Epic gold and quartz nugget found metal detecting in NZ!

We are over metal detecting and gold prospecting at one of our favourite mining sites and we hit it big this time! Got some solid gold crevicing only to get a target and unearth our best find in a long time! Continued to get a lot more gold throughout the day and overall just had a blast!

Lads, just got my hands on same metal detector as featured in this video, are you using 'gold 1' or 'gold 2' setting? Im in Queenstown, so similar looking creeks around town eg. 12 Mile. Thanks.

Awesome bro! Sadly there are no “legal” gold fossicking areas in the coromandel, however if you want to risk it you can still go up bush, go to Paydirt.co.Nz and look at the permit map and find a creek round Waihi area or north from that that doesn’t have a claim and head up there and it’s likely you will find some gold, I believe the Karanghake gorge is a popular location
