All the food looked delicious! I used to love fish sandwiches of any kind, but I admit that I was surprised when the fish on your Fischbrötchen was cold. My mouth had been watering for a lovely warm filet with a bit of crispiness around the edges. 😋 Thank you for turning the camera on handsome Tim for all of us vegetarians/vegans--his knödel looked scrumptious!! (I didn't mean that to sound creepy. 🤣) I immediately looked up a recipe. Apparently knödel are made with day-old bread and kartoffelknödel are made with potato. YUM! Thank you both for another fun and informative video. Lots of love. ❤❤❤

🤣 we love it when you get creepy 🤣😘. In Germany you can buy the potato Knödel ready-made. You only have to heat them up in water. Super easy and tasty. I agree that I also would have loved the fish to be warm. I think we will try to include more and more veggy or vegan options in our videos in the future. Or maybe even make a seperate video per city we will visit. It makes a lot of sense to do so. Fun fact: even though I love meat when we travel, at home I only prepare vegetarian meals. With an occasional exception ☺️. But when we go out for dinner, I love me some meat. Haha. But I consciously don’t eat meat a lot. 🙌. Have a great weekend 😘❤️

@@stufr.travel 😂Ohhhhh, I can get creepy. 🤣🤣 Seeing more vegetarian and vegan options in future food videos would be great! However is easiest for you to do it would be fine. I think, just for the interplay between the two of you, I'd enjoy seeing them incorporated as one video with the meat dishes--like you've done it here and in other videos. I love you as a couple, so I like to see reactions from you both. It's no surprise that at home you serve mostly vegetarian food. That's love and consideration for Tim.💖 When I lived with an omnivore partner, I often made dishes that were vegetarian but could easily have meat added after I took my portion. Or I'd make a meat dish and have vegan sides, which I'd eat. While my vegetarianism is a matter of principle, I totally understand the preferences of others. I'm not a cram-it-down-your-throat kind of person. Unless, of course, you want it that way... See--pretty creepy, huh?! 😅🤣🤣🤣❤🧡💛💚💜 You have a great weekend, as well!!!

If you are at the harbor and it is fishmarket time, get some smoked eel! You’re welcome. Signed an American married to a Hamburg native.

I will be visting Hamburg soon. Any coffee ☕ recomendations ? With the city's history of coffee trading, I am expecting a high coffee standard.

Sorry we are both not real coffee lovers. So we can’t give you any advice on that 🫣🤣. But we hope you find a nice cafe! Have a great time in Hamburg ☀️🙌🥂

@@stufr.travel I appreciate the reply. A coffee would be perfect with the cinnamon franzbrötchen your recommended.😋

@robertbetke4043 I can imagine. We just came back from Vietnam. There they serve coffee with condensed milk, which makes is very sweet and caramel flavored. That we loved. So maybe in a few years we will be coffee lovers too 🤣😉

Hi not sure what month you made this video and NOT to get off the food subject but im coming to munich and hamburg early November 😊 First time NOT SURE HOW TO DRESS🤭🙄🙄🙄 IS November really cold should i wear or need a semi med to heavy winter coat? OR a sweat shirt with a light puffy jacket? I do tend to get hot easily especially in stores with too much on but i heard its almost or can be 60 degrees well in America thats NOT cold its mild to slightly warm, AND what about bringing snow boots do i really need them ? Btw im looking forward to trying the food especially going to a good steakhouse lets hope they speak english😂😂🤗🤗 Thanks Any feedback ASAP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED PS... ALSO DO THEY HAVE FRESH WHITE FRIED FISH LIKE YOUR EATING? HENCE is the fish white anyway normal in germany OR only certain parts of Germany Also is there good seafood there?
@stufr.travel Жыл бұрын
Hey. You will have a great time. You don’t need snowboots in Hamburg. Munich is more south but there will (probably) not be snow in November. It will be mild still. So a sweater with a thinner wintercoat (light puffy coat is enough) is more than enough. It can rain though. The white fish is definitely all around in Hamburg. We don’t eat seafood much so we can’t really point you in any directions there. But for Munich definitely go to the iconic Hofbräuhaus for some traditional Bavarian food. Really good. Have a great time. If you have any more questions, let us know! 🙌

Wear thin layers. Go to the Fischmarkt. Try the eel there. Try an Alsterwasser. Go to an eis cafe and try spaghetti ice. It’s a sweet and SO yummy! Eat from a street vendor. Enjoy Hamburg, my husband’s hometown. PS: I’m American and we live in Tennessee.

Hamburg is a harbor town. It has a very large port. The QE2 used to go there for touchups. Yes, great seafood there.

I'm going to Hamburg in June for the first time, but from what I've read online people say it's pretty expensive. I've been to Berlin 4 times and for food and drink it's pretty cheap, I live in Glasgow Scotland, probably the cheapest big city in the UK, Berlin was cheaper for alcohol and some food. A beer or wine is like £3-4 in a normal pub, cocktail is around £8-9.50. Casual sit down food is £12-20, coffee is £2.50-3.50. Is Hamburg more expensive? There are obviously more expensive places here, but those are day to day average prices a local would pay here.
@stufr.travel8 ай бұрын
In our opinion Hamburg is not more expensive than Berlin. Of course you can make it as expensive as you like. But the places in our video are all fairly priced and not expensive at all. We think you will enjoy the city. It is really unique which such a great vibe. And so much amazing food and drinks to have 🙌. Enjoy 👋🎉
