When I was a child my family would travel to my Grandmothers house in Kentucky for Christmas. It was always like a winter wonderland with snow and Christmas tree shaped pine trees. We would walk out into the woods and my father would let us pick out a tree to cut down and take back to decorate. You have probably never seen these but one of my favorite decorations was a long string of big colored lights. Not like the tiny lights they use now. Part of these festivities was my Grandmother going out with a huge bowl to scoop up snow to make us “snow cream” I had never tasted anything so good. After everything was finished and I was supposed to be in bed, I would sneak out onto the big old front porch in my sock feet. That was the coldest cement I would ever feel in my life. I would sit in the porch swing and watch the tree lights through the frosted window. Each light had its own colored halo from the frost on the window. That is still one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Thank you both for the amazing videos.

ice cream doesn't contain actual ice as an ingredient. you've only diluted the cream by doing that. looks really grainy too. good ice cream is frozen fast and moved around a lot so crystals don't form too big. you should have been constantly stirring and scraping the cream in the pan if you wanted to make ice cream. adding ice into it is the lazy and bad way to do it.
