EDIT: I fixed this by trimming the video within the KZbin editor 😊 ORIGINAL COMMENT: Just realized one of the cars in the vfx disappears early. This was a last minute mistake when I was grabbing the background for the thumbnail and forgot to extend the clip back before posting. It’s so frustrating to see such a silly mistake ruin the overall shot 😤😢

Turned out very nice. The explorer looked very good. The crown vic toy was a bit less convincing. Probably would help to take a few 3d scans of the cars to use in combination with the miniature practical effects for some added versatility in getting the shots how you want them.

That’s a great idea! Having even a 3D scan of just the top of the car and animate that crunching up or even some doors coming off would look sick. This is definitely an effect I want to improve on. I think I’ll also dissect the cars and get plates of pieces falling and scattering. To be continued haha
