ZR2 needs grease between the leaf springs. That's the noise you're hearing. I have to do mine every year or two

@scotw67 I'm not the best person to recommend a brand, but I use whatever "general use" grease I have laying around at the time. I'm sure Project Farm on KZbin has probably done a video on the best grease brand

We have a stock Long Bed Toyota Tacoma and I'm sure he was hung up on the exhaust. We get stuck on the exhaust more often than anything else. Short beds have less of an issue with it.

Yea it hurts your departure angle. But you can haul more and put bigger things in the bed. Trade offs

@@OrrinLewis sorry, i should have been more clear. I was referring to the exhaust crossover underneath. It's the lowest part underneath and causes major breakover issues.

@@legendarytrails oh ok gotcha. I’m Not super familiar with the tacomas but I know each truck seems to have its own quirks. Like the placement of the rear shocks on the ZR2 is less then ideal

What bed rail or cross bars you running? I have a tri fold hard cover on mine and am looking for something compatible with it.

I’m using the CBI bed rails. Those won’t work with a trifold. I have a video on them too if you wanna see them in more detail but like I said I don’t think they will work for what you want

That ikamper skycamp 2.0 fits nicely over the bed with no overhang. Is that the mini? Ikamper will most likely be the brand I buy for my first rtt

Hey bro I have a ZR2 set up for overlanding and love your rig. What tires and wheels are you running? I'm looking to upgrade mine. Just got regeared and have the Trifecta Tuner. BIG difference!! Anyway good stuff ! I'm out of Eagle, CO. Lots of trails out here!!

Bro! I just got my gears too. It’s a huge difference. I waited 1.5 years for the gears to show up though. Unfortunately I had the old gears when this footage was taken. But yea they are AEV rims with Falken Wildpeak M/Ts. Im about to change my tires though cause they are already getting close to bald. It’s only been 30k miles since I bought them. So I’m going to go with an aggressive looking R/T or A/T next. The M/Ts are too soft and wear down too fast for me.
