My fiance always tells them "buy a cheap 15 year old Tacoma with 4wd, buy a tent and you have everything you need". Obviously the expensive aftermarket isn't even necessary. Just respect the limits of your rig!

We were just there a month ago. Couldn’t make Alstrom Point do to heavy rains the night before. We watched two built Tacos for an hour pulling themselves out of the mud.😬. We did get 400 miles of the North Rim in though prior to the storms. Great video👍

Sway bar has to go! Allows more flex and uses more of your suspension off-road. With 700lb springs your steering is pretty stable 🤙🏼

It's more highway speeds where it comes into a factor, high speed dodging of objects, but if you take yours out just know don't swerve hit it instead 🤘🇨🇦🤣

@@jacobdionne4334 I'd disagree my friend, tires touch the ground, suspension is for the truck not the road, if you have bypass shocks all around then maybe, but if you've got a prerunner you definitely don't care about the trail haha. Check out @RonnyDahl video on it, he explains it better 👍🤘

Powdercoated may be hard to do but if you live in an area with snow and they put down salt in the winter coating your frame at least every 2-3 would be super helpful.

I live here Utah is one of the coolest places theres also a lot of stuff in the Uintah mountains that's awesome. You can spend your whole life exploring Utah and still has more to offer. I plan on doing a overlanding paramotor rig next summer. I want to see stuff from the air.

That’s why Toyota doesn’t use a one piece shaft. I’ve seen 200k on original carrier bearing shafts. The midpoint takes a lot of the abuse out of the equation. I wouldn’t go aftermarket.

@Hoglund Overland @Hoglund Overland my ranger used to have a one piece from factory and after I lifted it I blew through u-joints every couple years and I didn’t start seriously wheeling until I bought my Tacoma. But my friend had a ranger with 250k miles on the original two piece carrier bearing version. Idk why but they just work, long as you keep all the bolts tight and bearings greased.
