07:11 I love that footage of the Traffic car speeding past you. That was epic, mate. Quick Q, is the unmarked Vito at the start of the video an ARV? I know they sometimes use them to carry equipment to containments/sieges etc...? Excellent catches all round, Dragon! Keep up the great work 👍🚑

A lot of police forces are now using the Volvos why would that be? Volvo offering a good deal on them?

I think BMW X5s had a massive engine recall earlier in the year and left emergency services struggling to cope with call demand

I work for the Welsh ambulance service and we've had a sneak peak at a brand spanking new Volvo RRV ;) A lot of services across the UK have had an influx of Volvo response cars over the past 12 months - no idea why, but they've had a lot of praise.

@@tibgaming8184 As @You King had alluded to above, there have been a large number of recalls for diesel X5s and some 5/3 Series due to the stress and punishment the engines take over the course of 10000 miles. A mate in West Yorks told me (how true it is I don't know) but after every 5000 miles the X5s need several days off the road for a major service which can involve an almost full engine rebuild. The N57 main bearings also take a hammering and regularly need replacing/maintenance. Bottom line is that Police fleet managers have decided to steadily move away from only using one marque for their High Performance fleets, and with the new V90 being far more robust than the V70. The V70 was gradually fazed out of fleets in the late 2000s as Volvo could no longer guarantee the safety of those on board when responding due to axle weights having reached the limits of what they could maintain. Traffic cars and ARVs carry a hell of a lot of equipment which adds to the overall kerb weight considerably. BMW servicing and warranty was also offered at a much more preferential rate, which was obviously a key factor for underfunded public sector agencies. Volvo are also much further ahead with hybrid technology which is something both the Police and Ambo are keen to introduce in the future. The XC60 and V90 both look superb and it's nice to see Volvo being used by the Old Bill again. I'm YAS and I haven't seen anything about this never Volvo RRV?! Is it an estate or one of the SUVs? I'm keen to have a look if I can find any info!

@@residentelect I went to a job with a few too many ARVs on scene a few months ago and during some idle chatter they were complaining about a number of their X5's being off the road for servicing 'again' as they put it - I wouldn't be surprised if they needed a very regular service compared to a lot of other vehicles. This new RRV was seen in one of my neighbour stations a couple of weeks ago by a couple of crews - allegedly a Volvo XC60 (it was deffo a Volvo, it did look like an XC60 - one of the crews managed to grab a quick pic) very smart looking as an RRV - about as much to look at as our Toyota RAV4s, but they're a bit more expensive if it is an XC60 - I'd expect it's going to be a 'management' car since we've had so many new RAV4's - unless management are intended on investing in another line of vehicles after the RAV4's - we've used Honda CRVs for 10 years and in the last 3 years we've had Honda, Skoda, Toyota and now Volvo.. interesting.

@@tibgaming8184 I can see why they are using Volvos, the Volvos are lovely and incredibly reliable. They are better off road and in the snow than the X’5, cheaper to maintain and have a huge amount of safety kit in the event of an unfortunate high speed accident.

that first Volvo has a f*cked up color scheme ... instead of Battenburg it has these green-yellow stripes, then the red stripe at the bottom, and then the bright red and yellow chevrons at the rear. Seems like someone couldn't decide on one color scheme
