Do not listen to those who comment negatively. They are usually people who rarely go out the door. Once you have the permission of the authorities, go ahead. We, who are not financial supporters, also hope to be able to enjoy a part of the trip.

I feel a bit like the YT audience is about to be thrown under the bus now that Pateron is providing a much bigger income. Very sad as it is the faithful YT supporters that have stuck with the channel even though we can't afford to do more via Patreon.

@@WesternAustraliaNowAndThen That is exactly what I thought as well Mate, We survive on a Disability Pension & honestly cant afford to financially support Andrew on Patreon, the best & only way we can support his work/channel is to have remained long term subscribers. After listening to what Andrew said & (IMO) inferred concerning standard KZbin subscribers & Patreon's Financial supporters was really very depressing, & it also reignited the feeling of low self-esteem & of being a second class nobody. (Due to my own personal situation both physically & financially) Just watching everyone sit down & tuck into the rolls & burgers I was a bit envious, (Sorry Im off topic) but things are getting bloody tough lately. If I had a disposable income or could afford to be a Patreon I would happily contribute but I dont & cant, so I'll drop a few extra pain-killers & roll under the bus as well, see you on the other side. LOL.

@@aussiedrifter Hey buddy, I just want to wish you well and hope things improve for you. I can here the frustration in your writing. I too have been through s rough few years but I'm keeping my chin up as best I can. We're all in this together. It makes me think that I wish Andrew was reading these comments still, to see the value of these moments in this community. It sounds like we will still be getting some content, which is nice. Perhaps, with so many struggling with the financial state of the world right now, it's a bit poor form to serve only those that are of means. It feels a bit excluding. However, more than ever, income matters too, and perhaps this is how Andrew feels is the best way to ensure his finances are secure. Who knows But my biggest take away is the dip wads that ruined it for the rest of us. This toxicity is all over the internet....KZbin, Reddit, Twitter, you name it. More than ever we live in a world with a messed up culture, people with big mouths, no class, and tiny brains.

Andrew ignore the negative toxic idiots, they are not worth a second of your time mate. They haven’t done anything of any value with their own lives and are bitter and twisted as a result. Also the more they comment, the more it benefits you through the algorithms on YT. One point to remember is that you have a lot of loyal YT subscribers that most can’t support you financially but let the ads run and comment which helps you. Also remember that it is from these loyal subscribers on YT that gave you your foundation for the success with patreon and would be poor form to throw them under the bus so to speak. Cheers from Harrisdale WA.

Haters will hate. No matter how good you are or whether you follow the rules to the very letter. There will always be someone who will hate; sometimes just for the sake of hating. That is the nature of the internet these days, unfortunately. Just focus on doing what you love and we, your patreons, will support you. That's all. I'm surprised that you will not be driving the Range Rover. I assumed that was the entire reason for taking it on this trip. I was looking forward to seeing you drive the Canning in your Range Rover; at least most of it. LOL

I'm really glad you were able to get permission to go and do the Canning Stock Route. I've only been into 4wding and overlanding for a few years, so I haven't had the chance to finish building a vehicle capable of doing a track that long, but I've wanted to. I was pretty disappointed when I found out it was closed and may never open again. This news gives me hope that the CSR may reopen and I'll be able to do the track myself.

Hi Andrew If you read this I just wanted to put this out there to help your trip. There is organisation in Perth that you maybe know of called Track Care WA. They are in charge of the care and maintenance of the CSR. I would recommend reaching out and getting in touch with them as they can give you an idea as to what may need to be done on the ground and the maintenance to the wells so you don't have to carry any more material than required. As people have been traveling between the wells as a part of the ranger program. All the best to you and the Range Rover. Kind regards, Geoff

I don’t know the CSR, but if you absolutely need to replenish fuel, water or food enroute and are not allowed to enter localities to do so, maybe you can pre-arrange replenishment points set up by locals and so eliminate any unnecessary human exposure and so keep everyone safe. Somewhat like the Long Range Desert Patrols’ MO in WW2.

I support a number of creators on Patreon (and would support more if I could afford it), and what I've found is that the quality of the Patreon comments feed is usually much better than that of the public YT feed.
