EPIC Ocean Wave Explosions Shore Acres, Oregon

Video shows clips of waves exploding as they hit the shoreline at Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay on the Oregon Coast. Its a unique, spectacular sight far better then any fireworks show.

Thank you so much! Per requests... I decided to do one wave video with music! However, to me, a big part of the experience of seeing the waves is hearing them and feeling the concussion when they explode. It is simply stunning!

I use the website surf-forecast.com. Put in Oregon South & Bastendorf Beach. A forecast of 18’ coupled with a wave period of greater then 15 sec. wind from the south not good, often forces water in undesirable direction. Good luck!

@@Seracdog Thanks Al!!! I use those same forecast, the National Data Buoy Center site, and magicseaweed.com Had not considered wave period length as an indicator. This Friday had 24' swells predicted but that storm's moving north. Another HUGE storm behind it with 46' swells forecast mid-pacific come next week. West wind wave effect?? Thoughts about tide? My opinion is that the better splashes are formed at a lower tide than at high tide. Don't know - you're obviously the expert. Thanks!!!

@@bob_frazier sorry for the late reply! Actually at Shore Acres again today morning and afternoon. The waves were predicted at 15’ yet I got some of my best shots to date! Predicted high surf for the next few days so it could be perfect conditions for great photography. I have over 300 shots/videos to go through for yet another video!

Thanks a ton for the comment! I get it! When it comes music, etc. on a vid, one is damned if you do and damned if you don't! I threw this vid up on KZbin to appease those who wanted music! That being said, I have four other Shore Acres vids upon on KZbin and they are all mostly free of music... just ocean sounds and occasionally some folks cheering... sorry, I can't control the screams, cheers, etc. I wish I could
