Got some inspiration from this for ky upcoming vacation. I'm saving up for a PR7. Currently got a Honda Africa Twin and rode the PR7 once for an hour offroad and I fell in love with it. The T7 owners should get some more aggressive tires if you guys take the bikes on a trailer. Rebel Xplorer 01 with some thicker 4mm inner tubes do wonders.

Awesome trip and video. Just wondering what equipment you thought was successful and what was not? I live in Montenegro and am waiting delivery of an off road bike. So am looking at tyres, boots, body armor, clothing etc. very interested to hear you perspective. Also would love to hear your recommendations on routes in Montenegro.

Looks like a super fun trip Johannes. I did the TET Slovenia last year and loved it, but to be fair, I only have the TET Netherlands to compare it too. That's pretty easy to beat. Definitely want to do more of the Balkans.

It sure was! Sounds like we're both in the same "boat". Both Norway and the Netherlands TETs are boring, so anything that isn't gravel becomes very interesting 😆 I can highly suggest Bosnia and Montenegro.

This goes for I would say all Slavic languages, with some minor differences in pronunciation. 20:20 That got to be Lake Piva? Anyways, it is sort of a bitter feeling to me we didn't meet. I watched your announcement video for the Balkans, and I think that your start date happened when I was on a biz trip to Frankfurt. This why I didn't even reach out. Similar applies to your time of return, busy times for me, and you looked to be exhausted in your videos, so... sounds like excuse I know, but I have no life, work only.. 🙂 Btw I've bought brand new T7 in March and I managed to make 500km with it so far. 😅 I am facing major problems with the bike though, wind buffeting to be precise. Thanks for all the corrections, on trips like these we cover so much ground in short time so it's impossible to keep up with all the names :D I'm sure our paths will cross another time. And yeah, the T7 buffeting is serious - have you tried riding without the screen, and just enjoy the clean wind? Hope all is well :)

Have also bought lower sport screen from WRS with wider side screens with almost no improvement - yet I've read on forums for some that solved the buffeting, not for me unfortunately. I have also bought Puig Visor 2.0 Clip-on which is advertised by being installed on T7 but it turned out it is too wide and it does not fit on the T7... just wtf 😅 Now I have settled on aliexpress, $15 screen that indeed makes buffeting somewhat bearable, but the bike looks ugly with it ohwell. 😄 Yeah I'm sure we'll meet one day too! Hope all is well on your side as well, wish you all the best, cheers! 👍

Hi ,Johannes, excellent trip movie and comments! As I plan to go to Balkan TEts , it is impotant to me to choose the right motorcycle for trip. I found my Tenere too heavy if the offroad is muddy ,rocky etc.. and later I am exausted of continiously lifting this heavy bike up.. Could you comment - finally wasn`t Tenere too heavy or hard to drive in all these Balkan TeTs, maybe better would be light bikes PR7 and Husq701, KTN 690R? Mean would better take lighter ones insted of Tenere? Thank you for answer!

Hello there Laurence, thanks a lot for the kind words. When it comes to bike choice, there's a few things to consider: rider skill, alone or in group, camping or hotel? If you're a good rider, a T7 would be a great choice. If you're riding by yourself however, a tip over or crash in the wrong place could leave you completely stranded. If you're camping there will be another 15-20kg of luggage on the back of your bike which will make it even heavier. Personally I wouldn't ride the TET Balkans on a T7 or bigger bike unless I was in a group, and even then a bike like the T7 could wear you out because of the weight. I will make a video about the TET Balkans and things to consider once I get home from family vacation in a couple of weeks, there's many things to think about and lots of details, but all in all I think the lighter the bike the safer and more fun you'll have. If you leave before I get home - have an excellent trip and ride safe!

Looked like an amazing trip mate, Eastern Europe definitely has some amazing sights, and the riding looked epic. 👍👍 I just got back from my European odyssey, sadly a few weeks early because some scum bag stole my DR from outside a B+B in northern England, so not a good ending to a trip. 😔😔 Pity my trip was cold wet and windy most of the time, European summers suck. 😂😂😂😂
