Patty's shaping up really well! That roof tent is amazing, I wish I could fit one onto my tiny car but it doesn't even properly pull up with a full grocery shop in there, never mind with a roof tent on top 😂 excited to see the inside of the Pathfinder finished, really curious about the hidden water tank, and the kitchen set up! All the best to you, Andy, really enjoy your videos and I hope you'll have as much fun making them for a long time to come ☺️

Andy, your beautiful photography and wonderful and cheerful voice, always makes me feel calm. When I start getting stressed out, I tell my husband "I need some Andy", and he completely understands! LOL We love watching you and your friends on your adventures, and just you on your quiet nights in the woods, with just a tent and a campfire, cooking up some beautiful and unexpected feast. You're lovely mate!

Great build! The Pathfinder and a Toyota 4 runner were recommended to me by my son when I was upgrading from a Subaru Outback. I opted for the 4runner and set about with my build. I put 285 70 r17's on at first, but later changed back to stock size. I'm not too familiar with the Pathfinder, the 4runner has a differential breather on the rear diff and it can, on really deep water crossings, allow water into it, thus the need for a breather relocation. You may want to investigate further. I haven't gotten a roof top tent, as the trails around here Eastern US - West Virginia) are very tight and I think they're top heavy, but there are a lot of them in use. My build thus far on Bluto: Badland 12k winch Badland aluminum winch shackle mount Lightbar Bilstien 5100 shocks Firestone rear air bags TSO Incog bumper LED front headlights LED Fog lights LED tailgate lights LED reverse lights (2) Apache storage cases Solidwoodworx rear drawer system Rigd sidehack Rigd ulultraswing rear tire carrier RCI Rock sliders RCI front skid plate Midland mxt275 radio Rough country steel wheels (5) Maxi razr 265r70 17 tires (5) Auxbeam ditch lights Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel Molle panels (rear) Molle panel (behind seat) My Medic first aid kit Diehard AGM starter battery Optima Yellow Top battery CTEK D250SE, 20A, 12V Battery Charger NAPA 8'awning 5lb propane various tow straps, tree savers, and soft shackles is it done? hope so lol

Wow, it's coming along! I love the plans for the inside. Especially if you need to stay in a city a night or two whilst out on an adventure, you can actually stealth camp inside, whereas the tent being opened up would be a bust!

When we emigrated frm the UK to western Canada, I got a 2002 Pathfinder 4x4. I absolutely loved her. We don't get a huge amount of snow in western Canada but when we did get it, I felt completely safe. She was big and heavy and very stable. I don't think I slid once while driving in snow. Unfortunately I had a bad accident, causing her to turn over and slide some distance sideways. I was actually uninjured, but had to be cut out by the fire service cutting the roof off. They told me that I was very lucky I was in a Pathfinder as their safety record is second to none. I was very sad to see her be written off. After that I got my Honda Ridgeline 4x4 truck. It's an extended cab. I bought a canopy for the back for the dogs. She's big and heavy and she has all round air bags, but I don't feel quite as safe in her as I did in my Pathfinder which I still miss......

Very nice. My mom has driven Pathfinders for years, I think her first one was a '98. She gave it to my cousin and it still runs. Her 2010 runs like a new car still. Nissans are just good vehicles. Once you get it all set up you can take on any adventure!

Andy, "Patty" is getty all dressed up for your adventures 💗. Your doing an awesome job building it out. I'm doing some rearranging inside my Conversion Van - finding less stuff is better and offers more room on those rain days. Of course my Van sits lower so real off-road adventures aren't possible for me but there's always rivers, creeks, or beachfront so that promises an enjoyable experience for me at my advanced age.

As iv got older though im more into vans/trucks these days ,cars don't really interest me as much Iv owned my 03 plate vauxhall astra van for 13 years (the longest iv kept a vehicle) .and about 5 years ago converted it into a one man stealth camper ,it does the job well for solo camping and blends in well undetected. Its been super reliable and great on diesel ⛽

Living in Queensland Australia. Modified 4x4 are very common. Some extreme, with disconnect sway bars etc. For rock climbing. Others more subtle, like yours. Of course ours all have big bull bars. Which I think are illegal in UK. But no Skippy over there. In rural Queensland, where I live. Surrounded by Landcruiser Utes. Mine is standard bar the wheels. Go anywhere. Tough as. Mine is a workhorse, not show pony. Bit rough, and nearly 24 years old. The Outback tends to be a vehicle killer. There are some amazing tracks. Not everyone makes it.

2 days and 54k views well done I am researching our next campervan iteration much to Sweetie's chagrin but I wish to go more minimalist if not essentialist for longer term travelling if not as a semi permanent lifestyle. Soon but not too soon as we still love what we did did for the hyundai imax which serves us well in most weather for days weeks and months at a time. I appreciate your style even with all the almost seamless product placement.

I bought a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder SE (Silver) from the local Nissan dealership back in July 1998. It had almost 7000 miles on it and had never been titled because the accountant from Nissan was driving it back and forth to work. I got an awesome deal and it was BY FAR the best vehicle I ever had. No matter what type of driving conditions it drove perfectly. I finally sold it a couple of years ago because the bottom was rusting up fast causing me to have to replace break lines, the exhaust, etc. I live in the Northern part of the U.S. so unfortunately that happens to vehicles in my area after you have them for many years. Ironically my second favorite vehicle ever was my 1994 Nissan 240 SX -5 speed manual transmission. It was so fun to drive as long as it wasn't winter. LOL. Anyway I do believe you will fall in love with Patti the Pathfinder (If you haven't done so already). You got a good deal on a good vehicle. 😊 I don't like the newer body styles especially the front end. They no longer resemble a Pathfinder. I believe you got the last design style before Nissan made huge changes on the body style for the later models.

My 2005 Euro 3 Pathfinder was superb on fuel compared to the later Euro 4 and the cheaper tax band. I'd get at least 35mpg on a run compared to 24 on my Euro 4. Have to watch for rust on the rear chassis legs on these. Simple to repair on the Navara as you can remove the rear tub but you can't get to the inner chassis on these, I had to literally cut out the outer chassis to get to the inner to weld it up on both sides! Good solid 4x4 though.

Been watching your videos for quite some time and always appreciated the authenticity that comes across.Just a quick one..How problematic are the Pathfinders especially when it comes to Overlanding? I am now swayed by seeing your Rig as i was mostly steered toward the LR4 Discovery or the Jeep Grand Cherokee...But i hear the LR4 is a car to run away from. I need a car capable offroad but not a nightmare to drive on the highway..So luxury overlanding...I think the Pathfinder meets that well and easier on the pocket. So has it been problematic for you? Thanks, will await your response
