What an amazing set! I too did not know a lot about the figure but he looked like a cool Transformer so I backed him. I definitely see design influences from Gundam and Saber also reminds me of the Alpha Fighter from ROBOTECH the New Generation. This actually made me want to look into the cartoon series he came from. Thanks for the review. Like a Gundam, I bet he would look amazing all panel lined up.

Great review! A bit of advice - cheap guitar picks make great tools for separating tight parts and are soft enough not to damage anything.

When combined, I referred to Victory Saber as the Victory Saber Gundam. Kind of reminds me of a Gundam. Also, Victory Leo is the resurrected form of God Jinrai, from MasterForce.

@@optibotimus Has nothing to do with being a hater. Backers have been waiting over a year for this figure and are presumably big fans of Victory Saber and the Victory series in general. I just find it interesting they prioritize reviewers who in some cases have no connection to the character or the Series. I'm not sure what message that sends to backers of this and future Haslab products. No hate here. I've enjoyed watching your channel for years and if I was in the position to get cool stuff for free, I would take advantage of that too.

Nothing really interesting. The tab sits on the sides and if it's pushed in too hard, it could easy force it outward some when you're tryign to get it locked in. Mine was like that out of the box. He didn't get a box so he obviously lied how his was "out of the box" like that.....but easily could have happened while being assembled and then stolen from the factory he gets his from...causing the same problem my official copy got

looked through the comments.. i might be wrong and nobody might have pointed it out .. but that slip cover was designed to be put together inside out.. to replicate the original japanese release box art.. so there is that option

Have the original Victory giftset but ordered this one too. Looks small. Box art looks great and figure has a bunch of hollow areas. Wonder how the plastic quality compares. Guess I'll see soon.

As a stand alone star saber i think the mp still is better is mainly due to the outward movement on the arms lack of landong gear on saber, small things, but what for me what elevetes this figure is victory leo there is no official mp victory leo so that is what makes this set very good

It's a sample provided to me with the CLEAR understanding i am allowed to say whatever i want. My opinion is my own. I only accept those types of deals if i'm allowed to say whatever i want. Most companies don't "loan" you something and just let you keep the product they send out as "payment" for something that typically, would cost a LOT more money to hire someone to do a more "paid advertisement". But i don't expect you to really understand how all that stuff kind of works.

I think this is better mainly for the fact that we got an official victory Leo, the KFC simba has a lot of issues and the transformation and combination isnr exactly graceful

Depends on preference: MP Star Saber is more of a display piece which is as accurate to the cartoon as possible, while HasLab Victory Saber is a proper toy to mess with and it's a blend between toy and cartoon designs
