My SereneLife portable worked great for 2 months until it started shutting down with E4 codes. I can get it going again by running on fan only for about 20 minutes before switching back to cool. Heavy unit would cost a fortune in shipping for warranty work. Will be going back to reliable Hisense.

Just bought the Serene life. By far the easiest unit to get running after installing the window kit. Took me a few minutes. Everything snaps together without using the manual. It gets cold fast and it has a dehumidifier built in which can be turned on or off. The dehumidifier works pretty good as it filled my container with water within an hour. I live in California and its is not humid here. Yet it pulled a lot of moisture out of the air.

the black and decker blows upwards so better for open concept house or apartment, the serenelife blows frontwards like a window a/c unit but since it is portable it could be positioned to cool down 2 rooms that is separated by a wall

After watching your great video, we ended up purchasing the SereneLife SLPAC14 A/C. First of all, we purchase this brand because of what we thought would be GREAT FEATURES! Not so!! #1, The panel did not have a latch for ease of connection, but a toggle bolt. #2, the hose was separated by the connectors and the hose “KEEPS FALLING: OFF” when we move the unit.. even after I PLACED DUCT TAPE over it…#3. I called Customer Service on 06/25 and explained my great disappointment to them. I finally got an email with ticket number on 7/5 asking for more info and address. #4 Never received a confirmation on the status of shipment. #5. 7/15, I had to call Customer Service to Parts #. They never shipped the items… now it’s in their list. Unbelievable!! Bottom Line…. I personally would not ORDER from them again on ANY of their Product Line!!

user error for sure. I 've had the same unit for a year now and I've never had either the drain or exhaust hose falling off. bet ya you havent inserted them properly or all the way. If you're upset that duct tape cant hold your exhaust hose on its because hot air loosens glue on ducttape, meaning its no point using ducttape on it. also, a manufacturor isnt responsible for shipping, another company is hired for that so all they could've told you is wether or not some other company has started their process of delivering a product to you. Glad i'll never have you as a customer for my companies xD
