I think balancing 3 races in Broodwar was a piece of art. Balancing 4 races is god tier. Balancing 5 races seem to me almost impossible unless it has a lot of sameness with the other races. To have it balanced with 4 other races while having an unique character and playing style. Very very hard to pull of.

@@thijsjong Age of Empires does it with a bunch (8 for IV and a whole lot for II, not sure for III). They have a lot of overlap, but even so, they represent a challenge. Of course, the even greater challenge is to get back a functional Blizzard . . . .

Best of Warcraft are team games. That's what it was design for. That's how we played when we were kids. I wonder why blizzard doesn't create a Warcraft IV. But W3 it's really hard to improve substantially in terms of playability. Perhaps they may include new races and to increase the army capacity
