You gotta get out there & live somewhere good & not too Testosterone Boy & have a pass. Vail gets good snow & has good terrain, but I'd rather have a pass at Mount Bachelor any day. Powder the next day there. Vail? LOLOLOLOL nooooo.

Good riding sir. I just came from a dig out rescue vid, so I appreciate the smart speed checks especially. Bad speed checks are how you get in trouble... and yet speed is mostly how you stay out of it. It's a conundrum. I'd probably get a board about 8cm longer if I were you though. That's like, what, a 154 or 6? I like(d) a 164 stiff all-terrain for powder. Stiff not for the pow but for the inevitable chop that comes after at Colorado areas. Even Wolf Creek. All areas really. The length is less for those conditions & more for Wolf Creek/Snowbird/Tahoe/Lizard Head monster dumps.

Watching a snowboard tree run is like watching a ski tree run in slow motion
@theminister11546 ай бұрын
Except he's going faster. It only looks slower because it's easier & he's on medium terrain as opposed to the hero terrain you usually see.. If bro was on a bigger board it would be faster still. I don't recall ever being outpaced through the trees except by exceptional skiiers on specialized powder skis. the snowboard is the proper tool for the job if not for getting TO the job. And if you're very unlucky, FROM the job. I had a bag slog across the flats at Powder Mountain in UT one time.

I've never been to Keystone. Looks like my kind of area. I travelled more or was in the Four Corners at Wolf Creek (walking the ridge for days of powder) or Purgatory (groomer days. Whole joint is a giant snowpark. Catch 100 feet of air on almost any slope if that's your thing.) Keystone looks a little like Fernie or Targhee from that vid. Great areas.

Hello, I would like to ask you for help in choosing a snowboard. I choose a snowboard between nidecker beta apx vs k2 excavator. My height is 1.78 cm and weight is 104 kg (230 lbs) boots size 43 eu, Both snowboards would be 1.62 cm long, due to my weight. Therefore, I want to ask which one is better for powder and tree.

Torn between the twinpig and a Bataleon magic carpet. Heard some great things about both but the magic carpet has an extruded base now which I’ve heard sucks. Any input for someone looking for a do it all /powder twin ?
@mountainshenaniganz93933 жыл бұрын
@@thedude5510 I am, my only issue with it is it’s a $600 board that has an extruded base. Even though bataelon says it’s “the best on the market” I’m concerned it might not be the best option bc of that reason

What are your thoughts on this board vs say party wave+. What would you take between both
@BoardArchive2 жыл бұрын
this is much more of a traditional all-mtn/freeride board, with a width and sidecut that would feel pretty normal right away. The PW+ is much wider and has a long sidecut, both of which will take a little getting used to but it is awesome
