Awesome ! I love watching these hands-on examples of how to use Lightroom more efficiently. Though I already knew most of the novelties, I still picked up a couple of tips that made my jaw drop, such as the tip on affecting multiple sliders with one drag operation. Cool... thanks !

I wish Adobe would allow us to (export) use the masks from the camera raw panel outside of the camera raw environment so we could apply things like presets and more, which aren't available in the camera raw panel. This would be a major game changer. Even better if we could then export or retain those masks when exporting to Photoshop.

Oh, you can BET Ps will be introducing this (masking integrate feature) in their tech ASAP! Why wouldn't they??? But will it be as good, or better? We'll see. Select Object is SICK!!! What a tool! This alone will save SO much time in editing photos with odd objects. OMG. Epic update? You betcha! Thanks for the great tutorial!

You mentioned that the masking features aren't available in PS. They can still be accessed in PS Camera Raw filter. Great presentation, BTW!

Let's not forget to include the fact that the camera raw filter, or the camera raw application itself is in fact the develop module in Lightroom. They are, one in the same.

I think a lot of the You can do this in Lightroom is very misleading, it should be you can do this in Adobe Camera Raw which is a modular of both Lightroom and Photoshop, the beauty of using it in Photoshop it can be applied to a duplicated separate layer which can then be used together with a traditional mask in PS.

If they are going to praise the content aware tool. I wish mine worked that well. Not even close. I could not get even a leaf to disappear without leaving a ghost image of the leaf. This is with the latest LR upgrade. Disappointed too many times with the hype on all these photo editing programs.

You'll run into that issue when you do the spot removal on areas where you've applied masks. I ran into same thing.

Maybe try a reset on an image, do the spot removal before any other edits. I know I was getting that halo effect at first, but haven't lately.

I never use classic, it does not have the cloud feature and it feels outdated and old. They should end classic and put their energy into lightroom

I'm the opposite, I only use LR Classic. Classic is easier for me to use and has more features.

I have been using Lightroom classic for quite a while. It must tell you the improvements from last year and the year before it has come leaps and bounds better. I can now select about any part of an image and adjust it locally. Maybe you should give it another chance before you knock it

I don’t use the cloud because I have way too much data, but I think it has that feature. I‘m quite the opposite. Lightroom is very limited in many ways. Classic is super powerful.
