Epic Vegan 'TUNA' Pasta Bake

Vegan tuna pasta bake?! Yes you heard us. This tuna pasta bake is absolutely delicious and 100% VEGAN!
It’s super filling, super delicious and suuuuuuper moreish.
We’re always well chuffed with ourselves when we nail a recipe that we used to love back in the day.
Tuna Pasta Bake was always on the lunch menu at school when we were kids so we thought we’d have a bash at recreating a plant-based version of it. Loads of memories came flooding back when we tucked into it after filming it. Love it when that happens.

Mmmm looks delicious! I made a similar version last week but with jackfruit marinated in crumbled nori sheets and lemon juice and it was good!! But will def try your version coz it looks really tasty, thanks.

You can't put mayo in the mix then add it to the pasta!?

That would work great with cold pasta for a packed lunch! Not sure about mayo on hot pasta, might split?

@@takemeaway285 this is the reason, but it is vegan mayo, so not much chance of splitting. But it doesn't sit right with me for this reason.

Warm mayo just doesn't seem right. I make my own with aquafaba and rapessed oil, I've not found a shop bought one I like yet. I'm definitely going to try this the BOSH way, and cold with cold pasta & mayo though. Sounds amazing either way!

You should add some dulse to your chickpea mix to up the “tuna” taste

we thought about it but it's not always accessible for everyone! Definitely would up the fishy taste though 😊

This is nothing like tuna nor does the texture or taste, taste anything like tuna. Fail bosch.

Try adding in some blended nori sheets. That gets you a better "fishy" flavor than the capers
