@TFEA A That is true, he converted. But under the given circumstances I doubt that it was a question of faith. Surviving a military defeat and keeping control over conquered territory at the price of being baptised is quite a good deal, I reckon. Nevertheless I must agree, a lot of "vikings" converted, regardless of their motivation. Being part of the christian world brought a lot of benefits.

@TFEA A The problem is that the "vikings" were no ethnic and not even cultural defined group of people. So talking about amounts or percantages of an indefinable group is, in general, very difficult.

@TFEA A No facts to confront there. To say that most vikings of that time were christian is like saying most farmers of that time were buddhists. Furthermore, what you call "that time" we call the Viking Age, which covers nearly 300 years of history with a lot of cultural and religious changes/expansions. Besides that, "'vikings' or Danes, norse, northmen, raiders, Scandinavians" are no synonyms.

It's good that the dead can adjust their shield to prevent further injury and they had Jesus at the back of the battering ram, which was used half haertly whilst the defenders did nothing to repel them.

AMAZING outfits, armour and weapons, very accurate. But awful re-enactment. Why don’t they use HEMA hobbyists instead? It would make the entire scene a time machine.

That was blessed awsome! We have re-enacting groups here in Australia but we don't have the depth of rich history as you guys. Most of them are either American civil war or Knights of old. If we re-enacted our own past, there would be a lot of red coats hunting convicts that were hiding in the bush or in Aboriginy tribes... Not very entertaining.
