I am a very old man topping 85 years and in my youth I remember such tricycles. I come from an era where we made our own toys including scooters out of ball and roller bearings which we got out of the military depot. There was WW2 on at the time. We shared such tricycle and a larger one, with all my six brothers and sisters. My wife had to share between eight brothers and sisters but it was all fun, Very nice memories I must say. This is my type of engineering, simple bearings, pins, rivets, nuts and bolts, spokes and solid tyres. I can feel the love of this restorer for this antique item. I can say that he made an excellent job of it. Just beautiful and so heart warming where metal is curved and formed and cared for as shown in this little tricycle. Congratulations for this work of dedication and there is more than just an old trike I see in this video, there is love for the product which many modern people do not have, as they buy and use and dispose and never understand. Again, hearty congratulations. I can only suggest one little issue which has nothing to do with the workmanship, I felt that the scenes were too close up, and I would have felt better has the photos were not so close. The last part at 10:56 commenced to be more to my liking seeing the trike in full. I would have liked to see that trike in full splendour with a single colour background and a photo of the whole trike with a little framing , empty gap on the peripheral edges. All the rest, you deserve more than 100% I appreciate the love that went into all that, Simple Elegant and Beautiful.

What amazes me most about restoration channels on youtube is that there are fakers out there using products to make their items resemble the pitting and years old rust that yours legitimately have .. and they get 100,000s of views , and they are lying . Then we get someone as talented as you that brings things back from the dead by sheer hard work and skill and go unrecognised by youtubes algorythum . Vince you astound me everytime you release a video and you have great video and editing skills too . .btw I never think oh another trike video.... I sit , i watch , im amazed ,sincerly i thank you. Have a fantastic trike filled new year mate .

Hope you & yours had a great Christmas & didn't eat too much. 🤣🤣 You did warn us this was coming, but I wasn't expecting that much rust! 🤣🤣 This is definitely the rustiest trike you've ever done! Rust both ways, pitted & expanded. You did a great job of sorting out that! The chrome effect turned out great. It's always a good feeling to have fasteners come out, as intended, instead of snapping. 👍🏼🤣🤣 The trikes may be old, but they never get old! Keep them coming!
@LittleRestorers11 ай бұрын
Haha, you right. I threw a lil Barbie tool video just before to create distraction 🤣. The best part is that there is now a little girl riding the exact same tricycle that her grandmother used to ride. That's special !. Thanks as always for your support. What do you think I should restore next 🤷🏼🤣
@KevinD_33x15011 ай бұрын
@@LittleRestorers That was a good distraction! 🤣 All this good old stuff needs to be restored instead of scrapped. Even better when it's something passing down generations. That's priceless. It's more likely to be around for decades longer & enjoyed, as intended, than the new stuff, built to a budget, not a standard. And next? That's opening Pandora's Box! 🤣🤣 Have you done any old mechanical jacks or stands? They can be a challenge. Not many parts, just difficult to dismantle without damage. You shouldn't have too many problems there! 👍🏼👍🏼

Hello 🙋♂️. Hope your Christmas 🎅🎄 was safe and enjoyable !! Couple of questions please: 1: How BIG is your display cabinet at home 🏠 ? 2: Do you give your children the choice to use these amazing restorations - or, are they donated to a charity as a prize, and sold / raffled to keep the charity going ? 3: Where do you find the TIME ⌛️ to work on such a massive masterclass of restoration ? 4: How long did it take from start to finish on the trike ? 5: Is your “day job” based in an office environment ? Thanks 🙏 Take care and stay safe 🫶 Good lack in 2024. James ✌️

Thank you for watching. To answer your questions: Things I restored are mostly for myself and the kids. I occasionally restore things for friends also. This Tricycle here was for a friend's daughter as a Christmas gift. My kids get to use everything I restored for them so it all gets played with all the time. This project took over 4 weeks, but I did skip a lot of filming cause making a video at the same time substantially slow down the work. My day job doesn't involve the use of tools at all, and I probably spend way more time than I should doing KZbin videos, but at the end of the day, it's just a hobby 😉👍. Glad you enjoyed my work and thanks for the support. Cheers
