I am reasonably sure I could easily take that machine apart. Problem comes when trying to reassembly again. But only if you wanted it to ever work again. I can't even begin to imagine the engineering it took to design it and than make it actually work properly. You did a magnificent job refurbishing it and reassembling it and have to look great and work... You certainly earned a big Thumbs Up!

Yes, it was quite difficult to put everything back together, but I succeeded and now the adding machine is completely in good condition.

@PBV1960Ай бұрын
@PSVRestorationАй бұрын
@PSVRestorationАй бұрын

Wow that is awesome how you restored that arithmometer to working order. Even more amazing is how you managed to put the gears and other parts back into proper timing with each other so that you could make accurate calculations in each mode of operation, as complex as the mechanism is. Anyway, it looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work.

Sorry, I don't do math very well (autistic) and I definitely didn't follow how you made those calculations. But I suppose as the first reliable calculator, one could adapt to its intricacies and be successful with it, especially since it was manufactured from the late 1800s through WWI
@OfficialRainsynthАй бұрын
So this is technically a mechanical calculator in a sense? Judging by the badging, it was made in Soviet Union in the 60's. Nevertheless, you did an amazing job restoring this machine. But it's still kinda confusing to me, how exactly it does the basic calculations. I just know it has something to do with those levers and a crank.
