These types of videos can save marriages ;) Seriously though, great video showing repair and resotration from go to WOAH! Lovely that you involved the kids. They will be admiring their handiwork for decades to come. The birds won't have anything to worry about as you have used a non toxic waterproofing membrane. Those with concerns could always drill small drainage holes in the main bowl and place a smaller (animal friendly) bowl within it. But not really necessary in this case. Birds are descendants of dinosaurs. They are a lot tougher than most people think. Cheers :)

интересно, а замен пластмассовых шестеренок на металлические не оказался переутяжелением механизма, сказавшемся на хронометрии часов?
@LittleRestorers25 күн бұрын
@Живаякисть-л4ы No, Hermle reverted back to Brass on those parts when they realised the plastic gears were not adequate in the long term. It was an attempt from them to cut cost.

What was your source for the tires and I came across your video trying to figure out how to restore something like this and I can’t find a tire source. Thanks. I appreciate you.
@LittleRestorers28 күн бұрын
@Nuggethunter13 What we use as replacement is called a Neoprene rubber cord. 16mm on this one - bigger wheels like on my tricycle video take 19mm.

As much as I've enjoyed your tricycle restoration videos I was really impressed with this doll pram restoration, particularly the reupholstering of the sun hood. You can tell this pram was well made by what it took to get it disassembled for restoring. Now, if I only had all your workshop tools! Just curious, what was that liquid you sprayed on the body before applying the decals?
@LittleRestorersАй бұрын
@shortliner68 Thanks for watching. Appreciate your comment. I sprayed some soapy water, so it allows repositioning by just sliding the decal exactly where u want it to be 😉

Beautiful end result, but have you considered spraying the brass with a tinted shellac? With the bright polish these metals don’t exactly match in color and will oxidize.
@LittleRestorersАй бұрын
@Goodwalker720 Thanks for watching- I wanted to keep it original as it did have a protective layer originally. The oxidisation will eventually give it a more vintage look 😉

2000, i was two years old and found the same trike at a flea market with my dad and i saw that trike, dull red and rusted but still in great shape, i jumped on it and rode it around, i stayed on it the entire time to the point the stall owner just gave it to us, my dad took it apart, cleaned it up and painted it cherry apple red with some flame stickers added to the mud guard, i road that thing every single day that year, through spring, summer and especially fall, we had it for years, after me it was my sisters, then our friends siblings and neighbors, its been fixed up a few times but damn those old trikes were meant to last
