I'm an avid outdoorsman and have seen a lot. Several trophy deer and elk locking antlers over the years but I've never seen anything like this. Truly amazing.

Would you spar with one
@WPF179 жыл бұрын
These are actually Bulls sparring before the rutt to practice for the real fighting. When bulls fight it is only one on one and much more intense then this. This is a really incredible video to capture that many mature bulls sparring at once.

It dosent matter if they fight hard or not, it would be amazing to see a giant like this out there in the snow.

Well I thought it was eye opening to see so many bulls together and to just watch them eating, playing in a winter storm, good job, I liked it...

Two things, just so we are clear. 1. Multiple moose are called moose. For example, " That is a large group of bull moose." 2.Those are Shiras Moose. Native to Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Idaho, and a handful of other states.

Where as I'd be happy to huddle by the fire because the snow falls and all life struggles for survival, this group of moose, as careless as cosseted schoolboys hurdling snowballs, engage each other. While the snow gathers on their antlers, like ice on the wings of a plane that still takes off, they engage each other with slow ease in a challenge game.

james bryan they're actually practicing. Just like how boxers sparr. They're getting ready for the actual fight in the spring
@Grainnia16 жыл бұрын
Yes. This is a 'bachelor group' of youngish unmated males. You frequently see such groups in the wild, among most species of ungulates (deer, elk, pronghorn, etc). They spar for practice, and for fun, and to begin establishing their place in the pecking order before real competition for mates & territory begins. Equivalent to a group of bros horsing around (moosing around?) in the bar on a Saturday night.

I agree, not exactly epic. I guess my generation (I'm almost 50) feels epic means something really grand, over the top, a once in a lifetime event. Epic is not merely something interesting. Maybe the title should have been "An interesting three bull moose tussle" since it wasn't much more than that.
