Now, the holy grail is available as a part of 'We Still Take You With Us' (out now), which bundles it together with their (long sold-out) first major TV performance/DVD release, 'We Will Take You With Us,' as well as their first three albums: 'The Phantom Agony,' 'Consign To Oblivion' and 'The Score.'

It’s so amazing to see how much the band has progressed since this show. Of course the new(er) additions over time changed the sound in a positive way, with Ariën, Isaac and Rob joining. But also gaining experience and getting bigger helped them. They’re way more dynamic today, and we can see that growth with each year, every album and milestones over time (2 meter sessions, Paradiso 2006, Retrospect, Omega Alive). Also, listen to how well Simone progressed as a singer. I mean, she sings great here, but nowadays she’s way more versatile, her sound much more open, mature and rich. Awesome we can relive the old Epica days again to see where it all begun!

😳😳😳¡Siiiii, al final salió a la luz! Aún que no me quiero imaginar la pelea todos estos años para recuperar el material. Es increíble cómo la vibra de Simone es totalmente distinta, sigue siendo una diosa, pero en esos momentos se desenvolvía de una manera distinta en el escenario. Al igual que su voz, ese color obscuro en su voz de metzosoprano es nostálgico, aún que la evolución vocal y lo muchísimo que amplio su técnica y registro es algo maravilloso de ver en el presente. ¡Que pena que no tendremos un dvd de cuando Simone usaba ese traje de encaje negro completo! 🥲

Y he aquí por qué Epica tiene la cantidad de fans que tiene en el presente, ha sido el trabajo de años, y su talento es inconmensurablente grande. Yo los ví por primera vez en el 2011, cinco años después de que grabaron esto, ya en la época del Design Your Universe, y también me da nostalgia.

Totalmente de acuerdo, muchos les tiran tierra por su éxito, pero este se lo han ganado a pulso y arduo trabajo. Yo los conozco desde 2005, pero fue solo hasta el 2009 que finalmente pude verlos en vivo. Pese a ello, estoy tan ansioso por este show ya que los primeros dos álbumes son tan especiales para mi, me acompañaron en mi adolescencia y tengo muy bonitos recuerdos con ellos. Asi que esto es una verdadera joya para los fans.

@@aposlave Wow, sí exactamente, me entiendes, yo los conocí por allá del 2008 creo, cuando tenía 15 años, y fue algo que me atrapó por completo, también significan mucho para mi, gracias a ellos cambie mi forma de ver la vida, y empecé a cantar, hice amigos y bueno, un sin fin de cosas han pasado desde entonces. Aún recuerdo que hace diez años, la gente o más bien la escena del metal se burlaba mucho del metal sinfónico, y de Epica, aún hay algunos haters por ahí, pero no cabe duda de que son unos músicos increíblemente capaces y talentosos.

So great to see this live finally released !!! I saw Epica live for the first time in 2006 exactly (in France tho). This was my very fist concert ever. I was young, kinda afraid to go to a metal gig, but i was already a big fan of Epica and they were playing in my town. It was an awesome gig. Seeing this live, It brings me so much memories.
