Well, he has the ranged variant, and as another commenter mentioned, Michelo tried and failed. Not only that, but the magnetic field created by the magnetic field generators when entering hyper mode not only increases the mobility of the God gundam but restricts the mobility of other gundams as well. (Hence, the staring frozen in fear) This didn't restrict the mobility of the other gundams in the tag battle only because of the magnetic field wich was hidden under the stage, which counteracted Domon's. And the only reason Michelo escaped was because he can fly and the others can't lol.

It baffles me that hardly anybody seems to really understand why the other Shuffle Alliance members, as well as Schwartz Bruder recite the same piece of Domon's signature monologue. 1)- cuz they have a strong desire to defeat Domon 2)- they all have their own reasons for wanting to win the tournament 3)- They will only help Domon fight the Dark Gundam after he defeats them in battle.

My trifecta of American VAs: Mark Gatha (Domon Kasshu), Justin Cook (Yusuke Urameshi), Steven Blum (Spike Spiegel) These three were their characters. They were so perfect in their roles that stuff nowadays just feels disconnected. I hear a voice and see a character, if I was blindfolded I wouldn't be able to uniquely associate the VA to the character, only as trivial fact say a VA did such and such role. So now if the voice and character don't meld, I immediately just switch to sub.
