You can have your opinions on the story but the gameplay is definitely a step up in every way a second game should. Adds alot of new but still got the feel of the old. Smarter ai and better movement makes this some of th best 3rd person gameplay in my opinion. Not to mention the insane gore detail which is by far the best of any game

10:45 *Important!* Speedrunner ScarlettTheHuman figured out that there’s a 1:1 relationship between health restored (after taking damage) and Scars killed by the end of this section. So if you get shot 7 times and kill 9 Scars you will definitely end the section with full health.

Loving these challenges man! Also, you could make a custom difficulty with everything grounded except for resources, and then it allows you manually turn on or off the HUD in the menu.

I love your little jokes and jabs about the story - and your content is super good dude. Seriously. My favorite channel I've found this year. That said - what are your thoughts on this game overall? You're making videos on it so I assume you like it, but still. I love the first one to death and pre-ordered and received the Deluxe Edition with the statue and everything but ended up selling it. I loved the gameplay and world but despised the story and how much stuff ND did to cover it up/change things from the first game. Appreciate the dedication that goes into these videos!

Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoy my channel :) . Personally I am a huge fan of Part 2 and how invested I felt in the story from hating to loving certain characters. Probably obvious from my videos and playing it so much that it's one of my favorite games. I also can see why some of the story choices don't work for people especially with how different it is from the first game and that's totally cool too! It does seem like a lot of people agree that the gameplay is great at least, which is definitely a big reason why I've replayed it so much lol.

6:05 This part always made me wince. Ellie gets thrown from an intake to the main pipeline and hits debry under the water as she falls in and there is a very audible thud. The likely hood some of this woule not only hurt but also cuts you makes me kindq just...not enjoy this sequence because i cant imagine someone traveling a sewer line and not getting cut up by all the debry in their.

A cool one to see I think would be a no shooting run. Obviously you have to shoot during ellie's car chase and there might be some scripted shots here and there maybe but otherwise it might be possible. For the rest king you could theoretically go into that fight with 6 pipe bombs and 3 alchohol, explosive, and cups for the ability to craft 9 more pipe bombs during the fight. I would hope that would be enough for that but I don't know

​@@HBDiniz10 to an extent you're right, doing a no kills run is the same as doing a no kills with guns and a no kills with melee run combined. But these videos aren't only about whether that challenge is possible but also the story and the struggles that go along with that challenge. Take the school section for instance. In a melee only challenge you would play that section entirely differently from a no kill challenge. Instead of rushing past everyone and hoping it would probably be more of rising enemies down and throwing bricks. I think it would still be interesting to see

18:25 Fun fact : this fight Is actualy true to how you play the game so if you go guns blazing ellie will go guns blazing to find you but if you play stealth she will be sneaky and put mines down but if you do both for the start she will go guns blazing and then do stealth after she realizes that doesn't work out so well

I actually do this all the time. If I’m in a 10min long encounter and I take damage, I lose. It’s very fun for me to be as efficient as possible. I love the No Return mode because it forces me to take it how it comes.

Scripted enemy spawns are so funny when you place a trip mine. The bench in day 2 that spawns WLF’s and the Serephite brute spawn which actually cancels the cutscene for example.

I recently got the game and immediately chose grounded + permadeath going for 100%. So far I'm at the hospital without a death or damage, I can say this is way more impressive than hiding for 2 hours just to restart checkpoint because enemies commit extreme acts of bodily harm instantly. loved the video!

Ohhhh that’s interesting. I took damage from it as you saw in the video. It’s possible it’s like you said they made it so you can’t die to Alice if you’re already low on health, but then I guess if you get there having taken damage that would count against me for the sake of the video.

Pretty sure you can avoid the seraphite arrow if you shoot beforehand and alert them to your presence.

This sounded like a good idea, but I tried shooting/alerting the seraphites and sadly it doesn’t work. I think they might not spawn in until you climb onto the area where Ellie gets shot, so it seems like this is just scripted/unavoidable :(

It's impossible, because the Scars always hit you with an arrow no matter what you try in that park section. (did u forget about that....) ok...i see what ur doing.
