The Untold Story of Ruh Parwar Agha | Bahmani Kingdom | Rakkt - Full Episode 08 | Indian History

This episode of Rakkt depicts the story of 3rd Sultan of Bahmani Kingdom, Aladdin Mujahid Shah Bahmani & his beloved sister Ruh Parwar Agha Bahamani. Aladdin Mujahid Shah was a historical figure associated with the Bahmani Sultanate, a medieval Muslim kingdom in the Deccan region of India. He is known to have ascended the throne at a young age, around 1375. His reign lasted until 1378. He also constructed ‘Jama Masjid’ in Gulbarga Fort and Shah Bazaar Masjid in the Gulbarga town.
Ruh Parwar Agha, the beloved sister of Aladdin Mujahid Shah, was both smart and skilled. She not only excelled in swordsmanship but also received comprehensive training to be both a princess and an effective administrator for the kingdom. She supported her brother throughout.
While Aladdin Mujahid Shah was retreating from a campaign, Masud Khan and Daud khan conspired against him and murdered him when he was sleeping in his tent. Daud khan wanted to become the next king, but at capital there arose two factions - one which favored him and the other led by Ruh Parwar Agha, who refused to acknowledge the assassin as king. Ruh Parwar Agha got Daud murdered through a royal slave while he was attending Friday prayer of Muharram, in great mosque of Gulbarga Fort. ​@@IsrafilShaikh-xe1yb the same bahmanis were unable to take konkan coast from Marathas and were never able to stop the yearly games of hunting Hajj pilgrims played by Marathas that too during the peak of bahamani Sultanate. Along the coastline of konkan the area was still under Maratha control and they used to hunt Hajj pilgrims who used to go to Hajj via ships from konkan in their yearly games. Bahmanis once tried to stop it but their top general died by the Maratha hands and they again went on to do their yearly games until Shivaji abolished it.

Because he too know that majority of Vijaynagar Bahmani wars were won by Bahmanids and as for marhattas they were nothing but mere peasants of Deccan untill Nizamshahi under Malik Ambar started recruiting them for military service and teach them gurilla tactics

They were unable to do anything major against Dev Raya who had not only won wars but also had expanded his kingdom right in front of Bahamanis and was unchallenged in his reign and region. Besides the yearly hunting never stopped not even under bahmani peak.
