PLEASE READ!!! Please put a small screw on the front of the antler so the handle is trapped behind it and cannot fall. Heavy wind could see that handle work it's way off and the lantern could fall and set your whole cabin on fire!!!

I also love my birds and you all have given me ideas on bird feedings. As a South African, Granny Foxes birds are barbets, hadedahs, finches, prineas, of course mynahs, Karoo thrushes, weavers, Piet my Vrou's, doves, pigeons, egrets etc. My own little bird sanctuary. What an awesome setup you have. You're gonna have a stunning Winter. Your family is very inventive. Einstein and Edison must be proud of your inventions. We used to lug water from the river when camping, not anymore. We now use a bilge pump with the foot valve in the river and with a hose attached to it to pump water up into the camp. To power the bilge pump we use a car battery. So easy and it saves attracting the crocodiles.

LANTERNS WOOD STOVE. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS SMALL WE HAD MILK KEPT IN THE STREAM BESIDE OUR HOME. WE HEATED WATER FOR OUR BATHS ON THE WOOD STOVE. WHAT YOUR FAMILY IS DOING HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY DREAM. MAYBE ONE DAY WHEN MY TWO GRANDSONS( WHO I'VE RAISED SINCE THE YOUNGEST ONE WAS TWO. NOW 14 AND 16) HAVE FINISHED COLLEGE AND ARE OUT ON THEIR OWN. IF GOD'S WILLING I'LL HAVE MY DREAM. IM 62 NOW. I adore this family!!! Awesome video in every aspect regarding off grid living, great cinematography and scenery as well. Your channel will be a huge success no doubt. When you do switch to snowmobiles, my suggestion is a Tundra, Scandic, SRV or an older Bravo / citation / phaser with long track - they don’t have the power, speed or finesse of many of the newer sleds but their wide tracks on lower torque coupled with proven reliability make them great for deep snow not to mention their ease of maintenance. Keep the videos coming, me and the girls stumbled on them and are now binge watching!!!!

I notice in alot of your videos that your family carries alot of wood equipment etc around ..we also live up north and cant live without our gorilla carts they go almost anywhere and they hold up to 1300lbs ..we bring them in our place loaded with wood or anything heavy ..it will definitely save your backs ..also norticed you have loaded up your bear feeders or should I say bird feeders..we got rid of ours because we had some bears that tore them down and we actually got video of them probably don't have to worry about bears in the winter..they love hummingbird red syrup aswell..love your videos and looking forward to your next episode..stay warm

Our Snowdog in the ‘70’s called Hus-Ski(close to right spelling) had a seat that looked like an ironing board on 2 wide skis that towed behind motor unit.I went far too fast though a ditch ,was launched forward and hit my forehead on the dash.Could have used 5 stitches but parents were away .

All you need is baking soda for heartburn 1 tsp to a cup of water will neutralize in seconds faster than Tums or any other thing hope that helps

The smaller seeds are not eaten and wasted by the birds and end up making a mess on the ground or deck. Suet blocks are wonderful for drawing woodpeckers and flickers, super food for birds in winter. The lights make your home look so cozy!! You guys are doing a great job of getting ready for a cold winter! As a kid my parents were the original wilderness family.....my dad kept the freezer full of venison, had water in a tank like yours(much later we had a well) an outhouse and woodstove....a big claw foot tub which doubled as moms wash tub for the clothes(6 kiddos). It was hard but I learned so much and we loved living in the country. Stay warm and take care...
