OMG! What an amazingly simple and beautiful lifestyle. It so much reminds me of the 50's when life was so pleasant. That meal you prepared, Carol, looked incredibly delicious and over an open fire, too. Food cooked outdoors always seems to taste that much better for whatever the reason is. It was wonderful to see you guys at the dinner table together. Hey, does Lando have antelope in his ancestry? He covered some 50 to 60 yards in a couple of leaps and he was gone! What a beautiful canine.

We are agree, food cooked outside tastes better. We are also starting to think that Lando is part antelope or Jack rabbit. 😂 🐕

At my family’s cabin in Northern Minnesota, we don’t have daytime mosquitoes. But the second the sun goes down, you hear that low buzzing drone, and they start dropping from the pines. You had better be running for the cabin at that first low buzz. We have three doors, and head for all of them, screaming and laughing the whole time. They will eat you alive. The 30 to 40 minutes before dark the walleye are biting off the dock, but it’s a good run from the end of the dock up to the cabin. Someone is always the last to bring the fish and get bit up! Such sacrifices must be endured.

God Bless our Fellow North American Epic Canadians! We have always loved y'all. From Tim, stuck in India. Would hope to meet up with y'all one day, when I return home. Love your site and, it's become my favorite. Inspiring and needed right now, with no currently known way home and so much going on over here, as I'm posted in Asia. Y'all know how to live. So very special to watch your loving family and adventures. Reminds me of growing up in the Northern Rural America as a kid and teenager. Take care of yourselves. And, know that I look forward to all of your episodes and, returning to North America "Our Home." Love ya'll.

I love cast iron campfire cooking. Delicious. You guys have a beautiful space there. This is an interesting time to be in, a good time to reflect, plan, etc. Our plan to drive to Tuktoyaktuk this summer was thwarted, but instead we will take a trip to one of our favourite lakes, which typically is difficult to get to thanks to BC beetle kill blowdown... Often we spend all day chainsawing our way in. But, we have nothing but time!
@EFRT4 жыл бұрын
Are they still not allowing travel into Yukon and NWT? We had hoped to get up to Tuk this year as well.
@k80bhappypaddler4 жыл бұрын
@@EFRT our provincial health officer and Chief medical officer are all asking that travel WITHIN the province is restricted, and when you do move about, to not stop in the smaller communities. Be self sufficient. So, even IF they do allow travel, we won't be able to shop and visit little places etc. Which sort of takes the joy out of seeing these places. And morally, it would kill me to know if we were part of spreading this awful virus to our remote communities. Maybe plan for next year realistically. We would love to talk more with you guys about this if you'll go next year. We are planning on 2 weeks from Prince George to Tuk and back. We just bought an ambulance we will be converting as our next Overlanding rig. Letting our solid axle swapped Xterra have a gentle retirement.
