General Peled clearly stated that contrary to claims made later, the 1967 war was one of choice, and Not because there was an existential threat to the state of Israel. General Peled then dedicated his life to the achievement of Israeli Palestinian peace. His father must be so proud of him. Or maybe he is another self hating Jew !!

Through Zionism, the Jewish people sought to rebuild and restore the their national homeland in Palestine. Colonialism means that colonialists leave their mother country and establish settlements for the mother country in places to which they have no historical connection to. Israel is just the opposite it. Jews are restoring their national homeland, the antithesis of colonialism. Israel is the political structure through which the Jewish people exercise their right to national self determination to control their own destiny. The Jewish people will never return where they have to rely on others to ensure. That is such a powerful lesson Israel will not disintegrate.
