Yesterday ThiccFila showed up on stream to talk about the community issues the last few years....then a wild BFlattened appeared and exposed EpicNNG and Gearbox even further!!!

NGL, I always wondered back in the day why people like Rifle/Rifool Gaming never blew up. He was always consistent with content, straight to the point, and had a unique sense of humor. I noticed a lot of small YT creators for BL should have blown up and did better than a lot of the bigger names. I can also say, as someone who had MAK on my old FB account, we have definitely argued over disagreements, but he was never mean or rude about it and was still chill afterwards. We played BL2 together a bit too and used to be a Twitch supporter. The only reason I dont believe in the bs others say is because I’ve literally interacted with him for like 3 years straight in a personal way. From my experience he just says what he believes and stands by it, which I respect. Like I said, even with arguments on social media, he was never malicious in any way. Sure I got cussed out for having stupid opinions when I was younger, and I can see where he was coming from, some stuff I still disagree with, but as a person, he’s not a bad guy. Maybe because we’re both similar in the sense we say what we feel to be true and dont give a f*ck about what others think lol I just dont see him saying some without being able to back it up. What I’ve learned is if he says something, he probably has a decent reason for it. Again, I may disagree, but I can see and understand his perspective on things. Mind you, I haven’t talked to him in years, but from what I see when I pop in here and there, he’s still the same genuine dude. He’s legit who you see online lmao I could easily sit here and say yeah, dudes a prick, because we had disagreements, but he lite attacked my opinions, not me personally. I’ve never seen him go at someone specific without reason.

I believe this is just the start of what we are going to see. We will see more and more content creators come out and expose gearbox for what they have been doing. Hell wouldn't surprise me if we get former gearbox employees to come out about stuff. I want this to get even bigger. I want to see people in gearbox get exposed and for them to see what's happening and be forced to make the changes needed. Unfortunately these issues within gearbox and the mentality they seem to have, is a lot deeper then we think. What I really hope happens is that Gearbox is forced to sell the BL IP. I truly believe this company is too far gone to really change how they are. New developers and a whole slew of new people who actually have a passion for what borderlands is.

I remember being there as an active Bflattened viewer when EpicNNG and byrdman started acting real different, randomly talking crap and trying to start stuff with people for no reason. Can't speak for any of the others, but those 2 came off real 2 faced to me.

Honest question, what is the end game here? If we have figured out that the toxicity/bullshit goes all the way into Gearbox, what as the community are we hoping is the response for this “unmasking”? Like do you think Gearbox will respond to this is a favorable way and course correct? Seems like they are more likely to double down on the bullshit until they find themselves in Bungie’s boat (looking for a sucker to take on a sinking ship so that the executives can get paid to go away). Just hit 13:56 on the point about Voracidous & I wanna say that I can feel the "anti meta" design oozing throughout every fiber of that boss's being. That nova that is just under the bee shield's recharge delay speaks volumes about how that fight is designed on its own. On the subject of mayhem updates being released to nerf builds & toxic positivity I posted a comment on ThiccFilA's "Borderlands 3's Top 5 FAILURES" video 2 years ago that covers this with mayhem 2.0. I raised these same points around M2.0's release too and I got push back from people, but my predictions came true. I'll copy paste the highlights relevant here so people don't have to go digging, but there's a little more there if anyone cares enough to look. I'm still watching through this video so I'll see if M2.0 comes up here too in a moment. From the comment: Something that I called out in the first weeks of M2.0 in discussions on several videos was how it screwed over the whole game's balance, and a lot of the points I made came up in this video too. I mentioned how the easiest fix they could do is just scale down M2.0 to maybe M6 as the scaling cap, whether that's removing 7-10 or scaling 10 down to 6, and scale down the "required" (overperforming) gear that was introduced with M2.0 with the system. I also called out how if they didn't do this, and instead decided to buff guns up to M2.0's standards it would screw with the base game, and it would take them a really long time to get everything up to speed and they would still miss gear even after all the buffs. ... 1 year of buffs and they've gotten a fair amount of guns up to speed. However, there are still so many that are completely worthless and irrelevant. I used to love using the night hawkin, and I still get excited when I see a 12/13 fire rate one drop and grab it for the nostalgia. I never actually use it because it doesn't do damage, but I grab it anyways. I'm also always discovering random gear that drops from obscure bosses or mini bosses that does no damage, and never gets any relevance because 20% of the legendary pool takes up 80% of the drops. You just don't see a lot of these items outside of their dedicated drops, and you don't need to see them because they haven't been adjusted since probably the game's release. Tell me what's easier: nerfing M2.0 scaling + the 10 or so super over performing items that came with it, or spending money on the countless man hours that went into hit or miss gear adjustments that often needed multiple passes? In retrospect M2.0 feels like a poorly thought out retroactive stealth blanket nerf designed so they don't have to outright say they nerfed stuff, and selectively buff up what they think should have play time. I personally think the current state of the game is okay, certainly way better than early M2.0, but there are still many parts of the game that fall short if you look down from the ivory towers that are the hand picked "supported" builds that were manually buffed and propped up over the past year.

I had no idea about the glitched white rarity in bl1. I remember on one of my first playthroughs finding a lvl15 AR I was using on Roland and it out performed everything almost to endgame. I never could figure out what that was. Now I wonder if that was a glitched gun.
