Hey, Margot and Book Nerds!!! I just finished the semester and I will have more time to read! Right now, I am finally reading Divergent!!! I really like it so far. Its funny, I've always loved The Hunger Games so today I have been thinking about which Divergent Faction the characters would be in. Katniss, I think, would be in Abnegation. She is very selfless at times, especially with Prim and Rue. Peeta would be in Amity because he is a very peaceful person except in self-defense. Gale, because he is very angry at The Capital and wants to give them a taste of their own medicine, I think he would be Dauntless.

If you like Divergent and Hunger Games, you need to read the Razorland Saga series by Ann Aguirre. The first book is "Enclave." This series is my favorite dystopian series hands-down. :)

Hey Margot, small world! I will have my 5 year work-iversary at the end of the month: 5 years as a Youth Librarian (living my dream!) I discovered Epic Reads about a month after I started working because I chose The Selection to be the first book I reviewed for the book review committee I was on. Congratulations on 5 years at Harper, Margot!! Epic Reads wouldn't be the same without you. I picked up Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han and Into the Water by Paula Hawkins on Tuesday (actually my local grocery store had the Jenny Han book out on Monday-so yay for early releases!). I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of last year and I start my first of four chemo sessions this Friday. The sessions are going to be almost 3 hours but I figure I'll be able to get lots of good reading time in while I'm sitting there.

Hi Margot. I'd like to start by saying that for what it's worth, I really enjoy your content and find you to be very entertaining. Your goofiness is something that's desirable for a newfound book nerd like myself and your vast knowledge of titles is a great resource for new book recommendations for myself (and I would imagine other readers). Forgive me if you have read/reviewed/talked about the series I will mention below, but I'm fairly new to the channel. I stumbled upon This particular series while aimlessly hunting for a good book in the jungles that is my local Barnes and Noble. To my great surprise and delight, I very much enjoyed this series, so much so, that I ended up binge reading the two books, and was left with a massive hangover. The books are titled "Skyborn" and "Fireborn" written by David Dalglish and are currently the only two books (until Nov 2017) in his "Seraphim" series. Disclaimer, my experience in the SFF realm pales in comparison to most avid readers, though I will say this story has captivated me and is unlike any SFF plot that I have heard of (aside from the obvious - technology, "magic" per say, etc). Now, I don't know if it's considered YA or not. Though there is no strong sexual content, there is bloodshed, descriptive battle scenes, and mild language (I dunno if that helps the rating or not-I'm not well versed in that aspect just yet). I know you must be quite busy with other stories, and series that you may not have time to read it, but I would very much like to recommend it to you and your followers, in hopes that you would enjoy the story and give your thoughts about it, at the very least, in a comment. I have not seen a review on KZbin for it, nor (to my knowledge) Somone reviewing the series. Thanks!

Hello Margot, I am currently in page 170 of American Gods by coincidence I started reading it in late April. Don't you think that Shadow starts in the book in jail to put him in the lowest level possible when he gathers all the knowledge for his future enterprise, making it believable his toughness and basically has no links to the real world. So far it is living to expectations. Love your book hauls. I have little experience with YA so hearing about American Gods had to say something. Somebody below mentioned that the unicorn is epic, well it is. You are a riot. Congrats in the 5 years.
