Love it Ryan, I am 18 and like 2 months ago read Meditations and got into stoicism, discovering you, your videos and books, I have read The Obstacle, The Enemy and currently I am reading the Key, you are a great inspiration for mine, and I aspire to be a good man as you are.

I love this video, I watch it often as a reminder of the importance of resilience and how it it cultivated. I have had a hard couple of months and I try to reframe the experience that the adversity I am experiencing is making me better. That said, I also think about Momento Mori, and wonder, if I died tomorrow, would the last couple of months of professional hardship/sacrifice have been worth it… I think the answer is no… if I died tomorrow I would wish that I spent more time w my wife, my family and friends and have spent less time at the office. These concepts seem to conflict for me, and I struggle with them. Anything others can share about reconciling the growth associated with sacrifice with momento mori would be appreciated

Hi, I love your content, would you ever do a video on the Bhagavad Gita and how is the most important book of wisdom thousands of years before greeks even knew what philosophy was, before Egypt golden age, before the bible, before the tora and Muslims ever existed

I love that he taught us to “accept ones fate” , we have no control, so we can only climb harder, make ourselves stronger.

Great video however I could better concentrate on the text sans music. It’s motivational but to me also distracting.

Ryan I have to thank you for introducing me to stoicism, I never really was a reader when I was younger, but the way you are able to explain and elaborate on the thoughts of these great thinkers is remarkable. I’m currently reading Epictetus’s discourses and selected works, for me it’s like exercise for the mind. After readying a few pages from epictetus’s lectures I’m able to sublimate all my energy and focus in to what really matters, thank you Ryan! I hope both you and your family are doing well and staying safe.

That was great starter-of-the-day material. Thanks Ryan. I like how you expound on all the known stoics not just Aurelius or Seneca even though I'm a big fan of both.
