I’ve watched hours of your videos now literally…. That’s easy to do now…. I am in a wheelchair and lost my son due to Covid…. I often wonder what you’re thinking about what’s going on in your head I’ve never seen you have a bit of company. You must enjoy your solitude? I’ve had many hours to contemplate life. I’m a creative person too. Almost anything, though from painting to making jewelry but because my grandfather and I were so close carpentry has always been amazing to me the resilience of the wood, the ability to change it into any shape. It’s just pretty amazing stuff. Keep up the good work. I truly enjoy watching your videos and the intricacies and methodical thinking it’s great! you devised ways to make practically anything you need. It’s this world came to a standstill. It’s guys like you that’ll have the skill to survive.!

There’s no woodworking channel out there that inspires me more than yours. I’ve had friends harass me for spending so much time milling wood from pallets and old furniture. “You know you can just buy wood?” But it’s not about the cost. It’s about keeping something from going to the landfill and making something beautiful and useful out of it. I’ve learned so much from you on every aspect of woodworking from milling scrap into project wood to decorative finish work. My goal for my shop is to do as you’ve done and make an awesome shop with handmade pieces out of scrap.

It is encouraging to see someone so talented doing something very productive and useful. I hope you are passing on this knowledge to someone else , perhaps your son if you have one or another young person who wants to learn. Too many of these talents are being lost to mass production.
