This apothecary bench is going to be the bottom half of a large tool rack I'm building for the workshop. It's built out of pallet wood, oak worktop offcuts and oak flooring.
You can see the top part of this build with all the tools here. • I Built My Dream Tool ...

I just don’t understand how this channel exists. The tools and materials are modest, the projects are big, high quality, complex and diverse and yet somehow there’s no sponsors,ad reads, plan sales, patreon solicitations. I might actually try the super thanks button I’m just so grateful for all the superb content.

many things to love about this channel but two things stick out right now 1. the fact that much of the work is done using simple hand tools and skills, as opposed to having 100 grands worth of ridiculous pro level machinery, and 2. the fact he doesn't feel the incessant need to talk at all, saving us having to listen to mindless, unnecessary over-explanation and repetition, as though talking to brain dead zombies.

Your workshop is a testament to your being the Zen Master of Cabinetry. I cannot remember ever seeing anyone make decorative molding by hand planing. Looks like you’re proud of this achievement, as you should be. We are in awe.

Your work has me mesmerised. I used to enjoy watching my late father make items out of wood when he retired. He would be in his element in your workshop. He used to make side tables, then doll four poster beds and my Mam used to make the bedding and they’d gift them to charities. Then when my children got into. School age he made them there own beds with the names engraved into the headboard. You truly are an amazing talented man.

I can't remember exactly where it is but there is an Amish shop in Penn that will hand make custom molding for you in at least 100 different styles. They have well over 100 Old hand made molding hand planes on the walls. It is a history lesson in itself just going and looking at all the planes. But on KZbin this about the only place I have seen it done and done right.

I've followed many woodwork channels over the years, however most that have started humbly , with modest tools and shop/shed garage etc. have evolved beyond mere normies like myself, who is at best a DIYer ,dabbler weekend warrior. with projects and tools way beyond the "armature" . I am not saying that is wrong, but I am sad that sometimes that I can no longer keep up and relate. In this sense < I appreciate this channel, the extreme patience, and cavity is one thing, but despite having a ton of machines he chooses to use hand tools where possible. Thank you Jason, it feels that there is still for the likes of me....
