Awesome system man, I love Cerberus Pyrotronics and miss them. The CP/Faraday era of Siemens was unmatched lol

@@mekaHX Indeed! The system 3 is such a badass panel lol. The only Cerberus Pyrotronics panel I have right now though is an SX. Or AKA Faraday Life Watch 400

@@YourLocalFireAlarmTech I've been wanting to get my hands on an SX panel, same with an MXL and System 3, one day though lol. And honestly though their system 3 is a badass system. Panels so solid they outlive their own installers

@@mekaHX Yeah that's a lot of them from back then: there's a reason a lot of panels from the 50s & 60s that technicians come across are often referred to as "dinosaurs" (though unlike the actual dinosaurs they've just kept on going decades after installation & often expected retirement, with probably not _one_ major problem throughout their entire career!).

(public) Voice reveal for you? Quite the setup from the looks of it! Not sure I ever knew the IXL had an annunciator! (let alone one that's literally just a block of plastic with a thin-as-heck LCD & one single solitary button) I do believe that's _the_ longest I've _ever_ seen a panel take to go into alarm: what's going on with that thing? You didn't happen to have a relay module that you could have ran that beacon's power through so the IXL could activate it did you? (going by you having to manually turn it on I'm assuming no) Interesting how the strobe flashes show up somewhat-blue on camera while you've got the lights off. 3:24 No audible silence huh? 3:29 Isn't its LED indicating an _alarm_ condition though? 3:39 That need to acknowledge the panel a second time is still strange to me: what, did Gamewell/Cerberus Pyrotronics want to _make sure_ that the operator was _certain_ that everything was under control _before_ allowing them to reset? 3:45 I just noticed: did you use a Notifier BG-12L because you don't have a suitable Cerberus Pyrotronics station to use with the IXL at present? 4:23 UPS? What do they want with you: you forget to return a package? Just kidding: why would it be beeping just then though? 4:33 "FOR SERVICE CALL ELECTRONIC CONTRACTING COMPANY" Supposedly-incorrect advice aside (as I'm pretty sure a _fire alarm service company_ is who would service such a system) there goes Gamewell/Cerberus Pyrotronics again with the "elaborate language"! 4:35 Yeah: that's what that one IXL is doing in that "Braden River Middle School Fire Drill" video, though it seems like it has a drill timer since "Dril" is still flashing on the 7-segment display when the panel is reset, yet the alarms are supposedly not still sounding. 4:53 Can't just hit the drill button again to make it stop huh? (kind of stupid that you can't if you ask me) 5:06 Was that a trouble coming in? (possibly to remind you to reset the system since it was just in drill mode?) 5:24 Is that supposed to be enabled in programming to work? 5:31 Yeah, thanks, you too, & you're welcome! :)

I've spoken in a few others before but they are rare occasions lol. The IXL has 3 annunciator types. The RAN annunciator, LED annunciator and a graphic annunciator driver. An annunciator will take up a SLC address and the RAN annunciators store their own local version of the panel program. The IXL sure likes to take her time sometimes but hey she's old so I can't really knock it lol Unfortunately no relay but in the future I may Yeah that's an interesting effect the camera was having with the strobes Not yet but soon! Yeah lol, I meant to say alarm not trouble They really really wanted to make sure the operator cleared it I suppose lol. This panel's operation is weird all together but I like it You'd be correct! I need to up my pull station collection massively. I only have 3 pull stations that I can easily use with 1 hand and they're all BG-12's. Been looking at getting more though. Lol not that ups luckily. It's mad because I don't currently have a battery for it. It's an enterprise 1100E UPS Funny enough that is the actual company who serviced it. Their name is literally just Electronic contracting company or ECC. I wanna test that drill timer theory out. Yep, it requires you to reset it like normal lol Not entirely sure I'll be honest. Typically the test button just works as is and holding it down makes the outputs generate the old school slow Code-3. Not sure why it didn't work this time Ofc!

@@mekaHX Oh, okay. Ah okay. The RAN annunciators are kinda like the annunciators for the IRC-3 in that regard huh? (though the latter literally act as if they're separate panels according to that one video, which I don't think I'll _ever_ understand) Yeah. Would still love to know what the reason for the _insanely slow_ response time though (especially since by modern standards that's likely unacceptable from an actual life safety standpoint). Ah alright. Yeah. Ah okay. Why exactly: only one NAC that can't be reprogrammed right now or...? Ah, thought so. Yeah. Yeah: likewise I'm pretty sure I have more signals than stations. Ah. I used to have a UPS from APC, but sadly due to my own stupidity (though I _was_ rather young when it happened just the same) it no longer works. I've kept the case this whole time, I guess just in _case_ (heh) I might be able to use it for something, but that's been about it (I arguably don't really need one, but such a thing is nice to have just the same. Maybe I'll buy another one someday (or perhaps try to get this existing one fixed, which I think would be nice). So it is, huh: winner of the "Most Generic Company Name Possible" award right there! (they're apparently still in business to this day too, albeit known as "ECC") Are they a company based where that panel came from? (since to me it makes very little sense for Gamewell to program the name of a _very specific_ service company into the IXL, unless they _did_ mean any electrical contracting company) Sounds neat: be interesting to see the results of that! Ah. Oh, okay. Perhaps it was. Huh, alright. :)

@@TheCarson116 In a way, yes they are. They follow more of the remote controllers though than actual CMDN annunciators (yeah, there are a lot of annunciator types for the IRC-3.) Honestly, I am unsure as to why it is slow to report. From what I know, the panel CPU, the intel P80C31BH I heard, is a fairly slow processor. For the NAC, I am not sure If I just can't find the second NAC or the second one is not programmed in. These panels have 2 onboard NAC's. I need to get a new UPS, and I am currently looking at what APC has. The one you heard decided to call it quits, right as I just got back from A trip to Reno. The panel indeed come from where that Company was based. ECC most likely programmed that panel in house, hence the name

@@mekaHX Oh okay. Huh. Ah alright: best of luck if you ever try figuring that out. Ah, k. How about that... Oh I see, that makes sense.
