Dots are definitely good for Oasis, Green Day, that sort of thing, especially through the Marshall valve amp👍. Not sure about full-on high gain metal stuff, as the pickups are not all that hot - I think 8.5k if I remember right. But they do jazz pretty well too, so it's a really versatile guitar!
