I’ve always rated Epiphone LPs - I’ve had 5 over the years and still use 3 regularly. I’ve got Gibsons as well, but pound for pound, I’d take a high end epi any day. These look amazing and if there was a silver burst or one of the sparkle finishes like the Tommy Thayer models I’d be in for another. That said, I think one of the Prophecy models is next up for me, the Explorer or the Vee.

I just bought the "smokehouse burst" finish version. Love it. It's got Grover tuners! The only issue is the crappy pick guard that has rough edges. The bridge is tilted pretty high for the low strings (E, A, D) to avoid buzzing. Maybe that's normal? I think calling the neck "slim" is a bit misleading. It is a thick neck, actually. But it's a great guitar. Nice weight feels solid.

A friend of mine overseas bought a Custom and loves it. Best thing with guitars is go in to a shop and see which one chooses you haha. When I bought my classic I tried 2...
