Just got one in pelham blue....love it. No fret issues with mine.

The blue ones look amazing. I really had a hard time picking between the red and blue.

Nice review and history lesson. Frank Marino and Angus Young are a couple other notable SG players. I’ve never played one but I’ve always heard the neck is very comfortable.

like the way you looked under the hook. I may suggest turning the drum track down at the end

@@MrShadowofthewind Unfortunately the model I wanted did not arrive, so I have bought a Vintage SG instead.

These are some of Epiphones best offering! I recently purchased the same guitar, & i have to say,( after owning a 69 gibson ) its really a great guitar for the money. ( i have the faded pelham blue,, its kinda green!)

The 'problem' with the SG is the placement of the neck pickup - which is more toward the bridge. It sits were a 24 fret guitar would put it. You lose a lot of tone - in my opinion - but lots of people play 24 fret guitars. I have since decided the thing to do is get a cheap affinity and mod it. It is a bit more expensive, but there is less risk, and the parts are all replaceable - including the neck. Also, a light SG can neck dive.

Cool! I just bought one on Reverb. Here's hoping I don't have the fret problem. This is the first I've heard that. I watched 5 videos prior to this, so here's hoping it's a rare problem. Thanks! Great demo.

Unfortunately, I have fret problems all over this guitar. It's shameful that the store I bought it from, allowed it to go out the door, without one mention of that.
@roccocrocco8173 жыл бұрын
Uggg that sucks. Did you return it?
@sandyturner19113 жыл бұрын
@@roccocrocco817 It was not returnable. I was going to do a fret level on it, but I've decided to take a bath on it, and try to sell it. I saw that Gibson also made a line of Les Paul's exactly the same way...so, I think I'm going to get one of those, instead.

@@sandyturner1911 sorry it didn’t work out with the Epi phone. the Gibson ones look awesome. Good luck.

Pity about the fret work, a few reviewers have mentioned that. Epiphone could do great in the normal people's guitar budget category and hopefully are. Still worth having a tech level a few frets overall.

Mine is not terrible but could be better, I am waiting for the frets to ware and have a complete refret with steel frets.

I'm confused 3 out of 5 because of the fret work.. If it had had good frets 5 out of 5...so..whay happened to the number 4...wouldn't that make more sense

Love it! Rock on Bro.

Hello, I play an Epiphone Wilshire, same beast as the SG, for some reason the pickup on the Epiphone SG is mounted further away from the bridge compared to the Gibson version, also I do not like the position of the strap button and prefer a tune o matic bridge as opposed to wrap around, seems I never get my way.

🚩SERIOUS QUESTION.. NEED ANSWER ASAP.. PLEASE. Exactly What's the problems with the FRETS?? I'm worried they are too High, like speed bumps, which I found on Fender Classic Vibe HSS, had to return. Trying to find A Guitar, Period. Is it Too Heavy, like other SGs? Thanks so much

@Parvis I Totally Agree, I tend to mine. Have a collection of fret files. Think this was when I was trying to Go Back an Choose a New Electric. Which, so glad things went as they did. Proud Owner of a ESO EC256 FM.. WOW⭐ Thanks for trying to Help👍

Thank you for your review you did have excellent job I experience the same thing on the same model feel the same way it took four of them to get one that I could keep to play from z sounds same color I enjoy the guitar but I've worked with CNC equipment with wood and metal bow as an engineer and they're just running them too fast and they have a buffer wheels that's sitting there when they're running those necks the laser starts vibrating and that's how come you have my fret work was 25,000 out sometime and that's what's causing it slow the necks down a little bit and the problem be solved just takes an American tell him that I guess they get like $3 a neck instead of $2 or something you can bet money is involved but excellent review you get five stars

Also in addition there's about five big as a guitar wholesalers maybe more but I just use five as a number to work with each Warehouse has different specifications for the same guitar z sounds just what I buy from them if I go to Sweetwater the markings are different and it's just comes down to what whoever the specification guitar their ordering they're called specials and we did it in woodworking with the office equipment back in the early eighties my father invented it he work for job Co in Jasper Indiana it was a excellent vanarest we purchased millions and millions of dollars with veneer for their desk and I know my wood I work for Tyco for several years and that's why I learned my middle skills I predicted the $400 guitar 5 years ago and it's here now now if they can perfect it

Don't quote me on this but I've heard the QC is a little on the ones made in 2020 compared to the 2019s. With that being said I can't wait to get mine went with the sparkling burgundy as well. Sweet axe bro.
