El Paso Independent School District is involving some of its middle schools to having their eight grade students learn Algebra 1, but others are speaking out saying the program shouldn't be forced into advanced classes.

So, this is nothing new. I had algebra then backnin the 60s. What, are they not learning math? What are they learning, besides nothing? I'm appalled at the curriculums. What are we paying for?
