Yet another awesome discussion. Was in HVAC 25 years, now teach full time. 75% of our students won't work in trade. They have issues showing up on time, don't want to work or learn. Contactors are screaming for good canidates, yet when they get one overwork and push out of trade. Customers scream your price is to high, we don't want to pay or can't. Many many problems with entire system, can't see any major changes to it coming any time soon. Now flammable refrigerants are coming in January, more cost being added to a systems price. Industry has bad days coming in its bleak future. De-carbonization? Not on the table for industry any time soon.
