When it comes to stores and residential, it is all depending on states. Where I live, stores, restaurants are within walking distant. Asian stores are far away though.
Hello, I’m live in North Carolina too what part? My living place very peaceful not too crowded or too creepy and I love North Carolina the way traffic doesn’t like a biggest city like FLORIDA,CALIFORNIA,WASHINGTON ,NEW YORK.

I know a lot of Khmers that just want to stay in the low income bracket, so they can get all those government assistance.

@@CamboXchange I really don’t care what they do with their lives, but sometimes they want us to share our wealth with them by throwing parties and want us to help them sponsor their spouses and parents to come to America. It’s great that you educate newcomers to learn and do things on their own and not relying on others. Thanks

You should watch his video on the types of refugees that land in US. They came from the northern part of Cambodia near Thailand, little no education, traumatized in during the killing field, not knowing if they live or due. I know a few people that can't even sleep without the TV being on, white noise is ok too. They passed this to their adult children as well. Like Mr. Vong, I pity and respect those that were able to make it as refugees. They overcame obstacles and bring their children to the new world. Please don't sponsor anyone that you can't help to adjust to life in US. If these people asked you, you can say "no". Be thankful that they have brought you to a place of opportunities! Live your life without belittling those who are less fortunate ( in both money & education). 🙏

@@sammas2959 I’m not talking about the refugees after the war. I’m talking about those who came in the 2000s and just want to get government assistance.
You are being too optimistic about income of $10k/month or $120k/year for everyone. The 2022 average income for North Carolina is $79.6k; after taxes and other deduction, $44k? Mr. Vong, your income of $10k is above middle class income of most states in the US.

But the average household income also includes newly established households, households with retired individuals, as well as households with a single earner. So if you are in your prime earning years with a working spouse, it should be significantly more.
