Really great and thank you for giving an unbiased description of this fascinating queen. Which is hard to find as so many authors take the view or the other, instead of describing her full personality. I'm hoping soon to find out more about the recent stash of 57 coded letters they've discovered from Maty to the French Ambassador 1578-1584! Should be interesting.

I have looked at quite a few podcasts on English history, from reputed sources. This one here seems to be top of the crop, much better than those of Mainstream Media. Congratulations and thank you very much.

Elizabeth was very protective of her throne, and Mary was a continual threat. The Catholics regarded her as the rightful queen, and they would have been happy to try and replace Elizabeth with Mary. There were several such plots, and Mary was finally executed after one where she had been shown to have been complicit with. While former plots had been on her behalf, she had not previously been shown to actively participate.

An all too human story of 2 women told from d perspective of 2 women folk. So refreshing. To me all d others, d power d politics are fluff to this story. But they did change history. 👍✌️🐰🇲🇾 From Malaysia

Read material on Bothwell’s wife, Lady Jean Gordon. It convinced me Mary was complicit in Darnley’s murder.
